- Ended up spending a few days fishing the Holston river located near Bristol and the city of Abingdon. This amazing river flows from the south Holston dam the third largest earthen dam in the world! While fishing you can expect to see hundreds of beautiful brown and rainbow trout. The sulfur hatch was in full spring while fishing with rises all over the river.

Awesome video, keep it up!!
Thank you, more coming for sure!
idk why but i lowkey love the no commentary its so relaxing and i feel like thats my favorite part of fishing
So glad you enjoyed!
Man, I hate to see you get so much hateful comments. Dude, your fish were nice and you did a good job handling them and releasing. If you don't do things exactly as those guys do they'll rip you a new one for it. Gah.. Nice job and I live very close to here fish there all the time. Usually with live minnows, though. Check out my last video I was fishing closer to the weir upstream.
@@bearsquatchadventures4356 theres no lie there, sometimes the worst part about fishing is the peoples opinions. I love fishing the deep water before the weirs so many big ones sit down there I’ll definitely check it out!
Yo! It looks so chill out there. I think just being out there is enough for me, it wouldn't matter if I got fish or not.
Thats the best outlook on the outdoors to have, Just having fun in nature and finding that inner peace!
I’m pretty new to fly fishing… is that little roll you do after each cast so that the fish doesn’t see the line before the fly? Or different reason? Great video btw! 👍
He’s mending the line so his fly doesn’t drag and floats more natural
Exactly, glad you enjoyed!
It looked like you almost killed that little Brown. Trout, please learn how to take the hook out without traumatizing. The fish
I personally think he handled that trout with phenomenal grace. I must say ScaleWalker, bravo.
You don't know what you're talking about.
Always take the fish in your off hand and unhook him with your dominate hand. Don't grip him and use forceps, not pliers. And, as a pointer, learn line management in moving water. You have way too much line off of the reel.
Rip lips
Painful to watch, barbless hooks please, put all that line on your reel. Not in the water, try fushing up stream.
South Holston is technical trout water. Long lines are necessary in most cases. This isn’t a creek so upstream drifts are not always possible. Much of the water is soft and flat. Yes barbless would be better.
Do you give your fish kisses as well? Barbs help keep the fish on the hook. They don't do that much damage. If it's painful to watch, watch something else while you finish growing a pair.
@@Flyfish9111 fish s.holston on a regular bases. Yes long cast sometimes, but having all that line in a pike, will get in the way sooner or late.
I can't stand to see a poor animal tortured.
What is wrong with you guys? Nobody tortured the fish. He just caught them and let them go. Why watch a fishing video if you don't want to see an animal get wrangled in against his will? Oh barbless, right? 10% better fish wranglin is still fish wranglin. Get off your high horse. You don't belong in the hobby.
