Note that some keys cannot be open in this way and it is necessary to check your manual or contact your dealership and ask for advice on how to resolve your issues with a key.
This is a comfort acces key, and It has a replaceble battery. If You do not have CA the key has an rechargeble battery and You neted to buy a rechargeble battery and You neted to cut the key
this doesnt work for my key. it seems like its one piece and i dont see the removable cover piece. this is for my sedan 3. is there any other way to change the battery for the keys
The actual 🔑 blade is a tool to open the back cover, you don't need any tools. Pull the 🔑 blade out and slide the tip of your 🔑 blade into the corner of the cover and twist the 🔑 and it pops out.
Haven't change my battery yet cause i am afraid if i do it then need to programming the keyless mode? Or just change the battery like saw in the video and that's all nothing going to happen.

Does not work on my 2007 E60 because the slot to pry open case does not exist on my key fob.
Did work perfectly on my e60 m5 2008, didnt need any tools only used the key to take the cover off
I needed this. Thank you for making the vid .
Needed what? The key itself that comes out can open the cover. Useless video lol
Can I lose any data on the key when replacing the battery DIY?

2010 528i E60, doesnt have the slot to the right of the removed key.
Is the green thing inside the old key the program? If so then I should not have to reprogram it right?? Just change the battery?

If you are not sure about this, call the dealer where you bought a car and ask them.
