I agree with the person who said "this man does not have vocal cords. He has tectonic plates."
What it do Dave "This man does not have vocal cords. He has tectonic plates."
May the Rains of Castellucci never fall 🛡️⚔️🛡️
Omg! That was such a cool comment. And may the REIGN of Castellucci never end....
👑🎵
Hurrah!!!!!!!
You guys realize that Castellucci means “lights of the castle”. This guy was born to sing this.
Aho aho aho
Geoff of Castellucci Rock, Hand to the king, Lord of Subharmonics, Wielder of Harmonies, First of his name.
This was a great cover!
Definitely lord of subharmonic.🤤
This was a great comment!
Long may he reign
As a huge GoT fan I was so happy to see you accurately costumed as Jamie, Tywin, Tyrion and Joffrey. Every detail is awesome
I agree, but Joffrey never looked thaaat good.
@@dianehodge7252 neither did Jaime as far as I'm concerned. Ooooof, he looks good in leather. LOL
The attention to detail is one of the things I love so much about Geoff and VoicePlay, even small and subtle things, they never miss a trick! 🙂
My only criticism is those shoulder guard look quite plasticy which I found to be a bit of a shame considering all the other customues used by Geoff and other voiceplay members look amazing
I am not at all familiar with GoT. Would you mind telling me which character is which and what each is supposed to portray? It will enhance my appreciation of this video, which is already massive.....
Silly Geoff - don’t you realize by now that it’s the departures from the original that makes us coming back for more, even more, extra more, and additional more? ♥️
😂 I understood that reference
@@bruno5336 We don't talk about Bruno..no, no, no🎶😀
😄 Not one more though, alas. That's still all spoken for.
Being a patron of his, I understood that reference 😂. I love it 😂
I agree we love your videos Geoff please make more video's we are inspired by you
"He has a voice like honey poured over thunder." - George RR Martin, A Game Of Thrones
It's like GRRM knew Geoff would perform this one day... !
OMG! Yes! That is a perfect description of Geoff’s voice.
Or my description for his voice: he is gravesite digger that he get deeper and deeper into the hole in the ground and he hit the underworld or smooth with perfect depth for his bass register.

Long live King Geoffrey Lion-Voice, Lord of Castellucci!
And long live Queen Kathy Castellucci!
The true power behind the throne. 👑
(Keep an eye on those clones though, King Geoff. Something tells me they may be plotting to steal your throne.)
Omg they look it! 😂
Or thy queen!
I totally agree. Geoff & Kathy are amazing. I love them both for all their hard work. Geoff is an amazing actor as well, a total package.
@@marshayoung9387 he should like make mini movies on his channel
Long may they reign
My friend's toddler has loved your music since he was an infant. He hadn't seen this one yet and was excited to watch. Anytime he gets fussy his parents now put on your music & he stops crying & watches. He'll stop whatever he is doing if he hears your singing and come in to watch.
Wow what a strategy for silence! And a far better one that Cocomelon!
I think some of those notes are to low for the sheet music. They're just hanging below the paper. Held by a string like a lobster trap.
It's an octave below the sheet music
Ha ha
He's using the rare 15vb markings
My wife and I both come from music backgrounds. Her a soprano and me a trumpet player. For us, this has to be an entire 3rd scale below the bass clef. Amazing vocal spectrum that has to be rare. Beautiful.
@@GyreneJohnny yeah man life's a good life man
The subharmonics of his voice were so powerful, they brought down The Wall. Glimpsing such raw power, the Night Lord could do nothing but bow to the true King. All hail King Geoff, first of his name, and Queen Kathy, first of her name. Long may they reign.
The voice of a King
I don't usually leave comments, but... Thank you Geoff for sharing your talents with us! There are some nights I've struggled to quiet my mind, and I've found that listening to your songs or narrations can be really helpful. Thank you!
Narrations? Where?
@@ricardoandrade1983 He's got a bunch on his channel! They're amazing.
@@ricardoandrade1983 They're mostly short stories or poems, but he also did the original Little Mermaid. They're all on his channel.
I'd like to see him do the ed sheeran song "i see fire" from the hobbit movie
@@robertjenkins5440 I second this! Please do this Geoff
This is definitely different from the one I remembered from the show. I honestly couldn't understand why (1) people kept asking you to cover it and (2) the patrons were losing their minds when you announced it to us, as I found it relatively unremarkable in the show. However, what you have done here is picked it up, shook it around a bit and reordered things. I think giving it that aggressive edge was a good call.
In addition, you've outdone yourself with your characterizations this time. The smirks, looks of contempt, and hautiness as well as the subtleties with their stances, not to mention the effort it must have taken to *not* move "Jaime's" right hand... I continue to be awed, you *really* captured the Lannisters. I love this so much. 😍
Shouldn't "Jaime" have his sword on the right, if he's using his left hand? No matter. This is another ear candy song from Geoff. 💖
@@ahknow7 Definitely. It's been irking me since it was released to Patreon. 😁
There are a few different versions in the show, both in episodes and in the credits after some episodes, some are definitely better than others.
@@luchts4547 Yeah, I've seen the show. Still found it to be generally an unremarkable piece.
I can feel the vibration in my chest listening with my headphones on.
Me too!!
This rendition could cripple an enemy and heal the crippled.
Geoff the Thunderbass has struck again. My lord, every time I think you can't top yourself you find a way to prove me wrong. From the set design and costuming, to the arrangement and instrumentals, to just your deep cavernous voice(can't forget those high melodies tho). But by far the best part of all your arrangements is how uniquely Geoff they are. You always find a way to make them your own and that is why I keep coming back. A superb production my lion lord. Well done indeed!!!
His voice reminds me of a comment about Benedict Cumberbatch's voice. "It's like a Panther purring inside a cello." It's 100% true with this guy.
I wouldn't wanna be at a wedding with this guy
The sound of techtonic plates moving . Amazing
This is the purest of epicness, the lowest of anthems and the greatest of tributes! 👑🎶❤️
We all know it's gonna be awesome, but, we can't post the catch before the fish day.
@@vanwhosits5539 Well, no, but I heard/watched it first a week ago, so I already know all about its awesomeness. I’ve even watched behind the scenes. That’s the wonderful benefits of being a patron. You can be a patron too! 😍👍
Those opening ominous notes just dig right under my skin... You do menacing very well, sir
Just wish I could upvote this more than once!
A Song of Bass and Fire 🔥
A song of bass and unleashing the underworld.
lol, Geoff's descriptions are always hilarious 🤣🤣
And kudos to Kathy for the costuming!! 👌👌
Actually kudos to Kathy for everything that she does❤️
@@amandahovendon2143 Totally agree. 🥰
@@amandahovendon2143 She has Geoff! Any of us would do what we could. I'd elaborate, but I shouldn't.
Bro, your voice is like entering a hot bath after a long day of hardships.
Despite subharmonics slowly becoming more common technique - Geoff still manages to impress with his insane controll of the subharmonic textures and excelent arrangement of the whole song.
Good.......LORD. THAT was insane. I have no other words except to say, "The North remembers." WOW Geoff.
2:40 I was not expecting a D1, but I'm glad there was one
I can't believe his voice.
This is both a vocal as well as an instrumental masterpiece. Superbly arranged and performed. Wish it was fifteen times longer, because I can listen to it for hours. Always disappointed when it ends. Beautiful and brilliant ❤️
Itching for the reactions 😌
Geoff often introduces me to songs I have never heard before or improved versions of favorite songs. This is great. A new favorite
Why can't i like this 1 000 times
I would strongly suggest to everyone to go and see the Danish Orchestra version of this song, it is an unbelievable performance
I fully agree
I clicked on this video, because I thought that Geoff has finally made a proper bass singer cover of this song that I've been waiting for for so long. But he hasn't.
He has made much more.
No, seriously... How does he always manage to surprise me? How does he still have so much creativity left that he can always come up with something new? That's illegal.
Had me in the first half of that comment 😆
@@maeco7 Sorry.😂
All hail his Majesty🛡King Castellucci⚔
That name actually sounds so epic
GoT is something I never got into, but this song definitely showcases your base range. Those low notes - chef's kiss! Then there is that menacing stare! The costumes are amazing. Awesome job on this Epic low bass cover! Thank you! 💜💜💜
Hmm... have you tried the actual books? At least the first one? The series really doesn't do it justice and I always think it's such a shame it puts people off trying to read it.
Last note so low that proud lord's gonna throw out his back trying to bow to it...
Geoff is getting a little too good at that smile. Love his cover of this song.
I think there's a typo in the title, good sir. It's supposed to be spelled "The Reign of Castellucci." Don't know who this Castamere dude thinks he is, but he's got nothing on you. All hail King Geoffrey, long may he reign! 👑⚔🏰
That first note just slams right into you and it doesn't let up, omg
I cannot wait for this to go live tomorrow. I have always loved Game of Thrones, and I have loved similar covers of Geoff's like Misty Mountains, so this is going to be great! I love these videos so much, and they have inspired me to start singing bass. Keep it up Geoff
This should have more views
What is better than Geoff? Four Geoffs!!!!!

...well, not me, Geoff...hear Geoff ROAR...
At 1:47, I got goosebumps from head to toe. Amazing talent Geoff. You are the best.
Sing, my king, sing more.
Love this song so much. Adore you Geoff.
Incredible voice. Amazing charisma.
Can't wait to hear another Geoff performance. He is just the best. I also love that he is a family man. Wonder if Geoff has ever been offered movie roles. He would make a great Viking, like in his video "Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold". 😊
I can't believe that Disney has not snatched him up for all kinds of things....he obviously can act too in addition to his other wondrous talents.
LOL i think he was going for dwarves in Misty Mountains Cold....but "My Mother Told Me" was vikings!
@@Juilene1965 Oh, I know that, but the his "look" in the Misty video reminds me of Vikings. I also love the video of "My Mother Told Me" but while his "look" in that video is how many Vikings looked back in the day, it isn't as appealing as in Misty, even though they were dwarves. They looked like Viking dwarves. LOL
@@SandraJB321 I would want him to do any projects with Disney. Used to love Disney until they embraced the "woke" crap.

The "Geoff" on the far right.. "Hello, my name Inigo Montoya, you killed my father. Prepare to die."
I’m really impressed with your comment,if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Not only a beautiful voice, Geoff is quite an actor.... nicely complement each other in a beautiful combination
Somebody: ‘How many times have you listened to this?’
Me: ‘YES!!’
INCREDIBLE COVER-
If I heard this at a wedding however- I would run for the hills- 🫢
And so Lord Castellucci spoke 🥰🥰🥰
My heart when he goes all mountain rumble. Gosh.
❤❤❤
i've never described a man's voice as "beautiful" but dear god, Geoff your voice is absolutely gorgeus. I wish i could hit those type of notes, need to work on it. This was amazing.
Geoff has videos on how he does it. Plus years of training and practice, of course. ;-)
-listening to the part that's the actual song: Oh wow, this is amazing!
-listening to the Castelluccified song: *immediate chills* WHAT AWESOMENESS
I think I'm addicted to this. Hands down the best cover of this song I've ever heard
The other other Geoff looks like he might be out for your throne……. Just watch your back buddy.
You’re my all-time favorite singer btw. Never stop!!
1:44 Feels like a mace (not a dagger) being thrust into your chest and just... slowly being twisted whilst the soldiers of House Lannister burn everything around you. Oh what a delight to mine ears this cover has gifted whilst bringing much dread in my heart. Beautiful and monstrous at the same time. Sorry for my rather graphic reaction. Bravo sir Geoff! You do bring the Epic into an epic everytime.
This song, sung by you Sir Geoff, is music to my ears. Literally! I can hear every word! I have hearing loss too, much like your beautiful wife, wear hearing aids at my spry age of 45, get down about it, but and the baritone is so audible, I love it! Thank you
And they all die. But Geoff awakens them with his subterranean lows, and they follow him like Hela's minions in THOR: RAGNAROK.
Holy. Freakin. Frick.
I thought Misty Mountains gave me goosebumps. I am numb from toes to scalp. DAYUM bruh.
Sheeeeeesh, Lads gone crazy on another cover again with that low bass voice…
Beautiful accomplished singer. In fact he is one of the best of the best! It is a privilege to hear this man sing. Count yourself lucky. 💞😊
Geoff sitting atop the Iron Throne is how Game of Thrones should have ended :D
GEOFF IS BACK!
Are you kidding me. RN watching all seasons of GOT again and listening a lot to Rains of Castamere and afterwards Sixteen Tons or Far Over The Mountains Cold and now you bring out this cover🤯
If you trap an entire noble house and all their men and servants in collapsed tunnels beneath their castle, and then release a river to flood them and make sure they all drown in the dark, all because they dared to defy you, Geoff is the bard you send to sing this song to anyone who even thinks of doing the same
I’m not even a fan of game of thrones but every once in a while something like this comes along that changes my kind a little.
I'm not a GoT fan but I am a huge Geoff fan. This is beautiful.
It’s a 💯well written story until s8 when source material runs out, prequel is awesome so far too!
@@EthanShopovick I've been cautioned against watching it due to some scenes that could use a trigger warning.

Geoff is definitely a cat of a different coat, that's for sure!
The only thing better than Geoff, is four Geoffs ❤️✨ love thisssssss
"Geoffrey Lannister sends his regards." *stabs*

We promise, no dismemberment or defenestration, Geoff.
I've only just stumbled upon your channel while listening to covers of 16 Tons, your cover of which is a cut above the rest. I gotta say your performances are incredibly impressive.
Colm mcguiness and Geof made this cover and both are amazing
This sounded so menacing. I love it! Hugs to ALL the Geoffs that keep spoiling us with new favorites every time.

Ya know, he LOOKS like he'd fit right into that era. Like... He wouldn't look out of place at all.
This feels like a majestic and epic piece of mastery, that beautifully combines all the main themes of Game of thrones to make an already great song into not just a song, but an experience for more than the ears ❤️
The default for your videos is pressing like, THEN watch it in its entirety, at least twice.
Absolute best version of the song ever. This should have been the overlay instead of the one they used in the episode. He has the sexiest voice I’ve ever, period.

Love you
Does anyone else find the last subharmonic D1 to be kinda strange sounding? I don't know if it's the EQ or if he somehow sang it "extra-breathy". It reminds me of a false fold subharmonic in the way it sounds.
@@Stan_S_Stanman Yeah, sound inhale-ish although it's clearly subs, mb EQ'ed
@@Stan_S_Stanman I think it sounds like that due to many reasons. One being the way he sang the note (as smooth and breathy as possible)
Another one being the way the note was mixed (Eq, reverb, compression and all that fancy stuff)
And the last reason why it sounds like that is due to the other audio tracks happening around the last note. I think there might even be an audio track of just blowing air to help with the smoother sound of the note. But that’s just a guess.
Perfect
