    Good takes, solid video as always. I'm probaby on the upper-end of power users and I'm constantly finding workarounds, but ultimately I've got that MX love so I keep pushing. MX10's sound engine is super improved and was able to push through projects that MX9 shuddered at. It's spurred a ton of recent creativity ('cause I tested a good several months before actual release) and I'm just grateful the product is where it is, ya know? I'm not going to ask any more of the program, so I'm happy that it's gotten to the point it can serve a VST and effects-heavy workflow like mine.
    Also, I'm a computer tech and have always specced my build for the task at hand (Mixcraft) and never had issues related to hardware let-down, simply hitting the programming wall. What I'm saying is it's in a great spot now and with a bit more tuning I'm sure it'll exceed at it's job.

    It's funny you mentioning that comment "It just makes sense". I have been trying to learn DAW's for years now (Studio One, Cubase, Reaper, Waveform), and even with wonderful tutorials I have not been able to even get a start on one. Perhaps I lack the aptitude for this. However, just this week I installed Mixcraft 10, and it finally MAKES SENSE! I found a fantastic free course, and this is the first time I could actually record sounds. I'm interested in recording hard rock and metal, so I likely require more amp sims (I have Amplitube 5) than electronic (though I have Syntronic). I think this is going to be my DAW (I suppose it HAS to be, eh). Thanks for the video!

    You don't become a better musician to the fact you change your DAW. Mixcraft will always ve number one for me. Studio One is docent , but ain't got the same workflow as Mixcraft. And for the money Mixcraft gives absolutely the best bang for the money

      Thats just your love for mixcraft spilling out lol trust me i get it, for years i felt like mixcraft would always be the DAW for me until I actually used other Daws and realized there are actually better DAWs out here, most people use mixcraft for the simple workflow and refuse to attempt another DAW because of the learning curve but we can agree to disagree because i feel as you grow you want your DAW to grow with you, I've outgrown mixcraft so i need tools that better suite me. Its like a mechanic starting out they buy the cheap tools until they can afford the really good ones. All the tools pretty much do the same thing but the more expensive tools just make my life a bit easier. Like i said in this video i think 10 is great and im not trying to encourage anyone to abandon it but there's a reason we dont have a ton of pros using mixcraft it isnt built for that, that doesn't change the fact that you can produce high quality music in mixcraft but there really are levels to DAWs 🤷🏽‍♂️

    You are 💯 real.
    Mixcraft Developers almost spent 3yrs for MC10PS. Unfortunately, the wait caused me to buy Studio One 6 Pro, which I'm really happy with. Message for Mixcraft, I would have been happy with MC8Pro had they just upgraded the sample library. More Samples (with few other editing upgrades) would have worked for me.
    Remember, don't fix it, if it ain't broke. How about adding an Arranger to your next iteration. Similar to Band in the Box. I can create a song and then have the option to add whatever style I want.

And it's not even cheap - as soon as you make even just a modest amount of money with your music the license is 225$ and it comes with practically nothing compared to its competitors. And no, I'm not just hating on it - I'm using Reaper myself.

    I Don't know. I just feel like MX 10 is only an Update to 9 that we've all asked for as pro 9 was it's own thing with new plugins and updates etc. etc. when it was released. Although MX10 can now handle a LOT more power and will not go berzerk and shit on you while working, I'm honestly worried about VST issues because pro 9 traumatized my ass. Also, I want to try another daw soon but i'm afraid it'll be too difficult to learn as Mixcraft has been my go to since MX4

    Interesting concept to say one DAW sounds better than another. Unless you using some old piece of software, or one that just gets overloaded and can't process higher demanding projects, they all should do a pretty damn good job. I'd argue the DAW itself should have very little to no effect on your final mix. As many would tell you a DAW is a DAW, the only real differences are the workflows, capabilities, and plugin support you can get from each. And then in the case of Pro Tools, you just get slapped with a tax because it's supposedly the only DAW a professional uses... I'd love to look more into why Studio One seems to sound better than Mixcraft as I have always thought Mixcraft sounded pretty nice. I will say there's times my mix downs in 8 and 9 did not sound as clean as they did inside the DAW, but I'm assuming that has been fixed in 10. But if what you are saying is really true then I may have to switch to Studio One. As painful and heart breaking as that may be.

      All of these DAWS do the same exact things but ill be the first to tell you, they don't all produce the same quality, i can use the same exact plugins in both have them tuned to the exact same settings and they will sound different (i only know this because I've done it 😂 was actually going to be a video of mines at one point but I scrapped it)

    • @richardpress9551
      @richardpress9551 11 месяцев назад

      Every DAW has features that others do not have. That's just the way it is. I think the problem with Mixcraft is not the software or Acoustica but more the way they do releases. Most other DAWS have a different release model (update model) and stick to it. For example, Waveform gets updated with a major new 0.5 or 1.0 release every 12 months - that adds new features and they really do a lot each year to keep the program developing and evolving. Studio One do point updates, heck even Mulab gets point updates, 9.1 brought new faceplate stuff and 9.2 brought CLAP plugin support. FLStudio - which I think arguably is the best deal going by a mile and probably the best daw overall, adds updates all the time when they are ready, a new one just dropped. With Mixcraft it was a 3.5 year wait to get the next version. Whilst 10 is really good and the daw is great its too long to wait for a major release. They need to really make a decision and stick to it - e.g. every 1 / 2 years get a new version. I think people expected the new Mixcraft 10 in 2022 and it took 18 months more to deliver it. @@RoadRunningBuzz

    • @richardpress9551
      @richardpress9551 11 месяцев назад

      A lot of the time with features in DAWS you see these 'must have' features but a lot of the time a plugin can just deliver the same functionality in a different way. E.g. the GRID in Bitwig is a modular synth / fx thing but you can do as much if not more for synths and fx with voltage modular or open source vcv rack for free. Theres a lot of hype with daws. Coming from someone who owns flstudio, waveform pro, mixbus, mulab, ntrack, mixcraft pro 9 and has used others can honestly say way too much hype over which daw to use. It's silly. I do feel though that the release schedule they use needs to change - it needs to be structured and something people can relate to. Using lots of daws though isn't a waste, it's good to see what else is out there and also to find the one that suits you. I got frustrated with the midi in mixcraft, the lack of flstudio style 'stamp' tool, lack of midi strum and the piano roll wasn't evolved. Only Waveform, Studio One and FlStudio have a decent piano roll.

      Im telling you what i hear (also what others have heard too) and you telling me that cant be right because of technicalities, if that was the case no one would go spend $700 on pro tools when they could but a DAW like mixcraft for $150 and produce the same exact product, these DAWs aren't made equally the same way mixcraft crashes with certain plugins that other DAWs run effortlessly. These DAWs are not made equally it may be a hard pill to swallow but it is true go test it out for yourself at the end of the say this is how i feel its my opinion you may feel differently but i know what I've been hearing my songs sound better in Studio One and im using the same plugins i always use 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

    I'm perplexed of one DAW sounding better than another? I mean, if you record from the same source? I just don't get it. Vloggers will say over and over...."The DAW doesn't matter, and you can get the same results using stock plugins too".
