HK makes some of the best firearms available. My husband and I also own many other German manufactured firearms. I've always enjoyed HK firearms, however I've been carrying a Walther PDP F and like the ability to conceal it easier. Thank you for sharing this video. It's an outstanding pistol. German engineering and craftsmanship is second to none copied by many.
As good as the Pdp is soon as I shot a HK VP9 I sold my PDPs but that’s just me it’s more accurate still very nice trigger points even more natural then the walther 😮
Ive been a Glock fanboy for 16 years and recently decided to give the VP9sk with the Holosun scs optic and all I can say is I am now an H&K fanboy!! I love how it feels in the hand and I can shoot this gun all day and with the optics wow I can get on target fast its great!!
you can buy the VP9 with the button release if you want. You can choose the paddle or the button. Not sure why people aren't saying this in their reviews. I bought the VP9 with the button release because that's what I'm used to. Good review
My 9mm HKs are the VP9 and P30L. My 40 s&w pistols are the VP40 and P30 and I have an HK45c. I love HK day at the range. HK makes some great pistols. Shop around and you will find some at great prices.
I hope more people see this lol. That's always bothered me about Glocks, this is the way it should be, and is one of the benefits of the VP9 over others. I enjoy mine quite a bit!
First time checking out the channel. Really enjoyed the review; even given the near perfect score, it came across as honest and not inflated by any personal biases. The only critique I have is that the field strip does not require a trigger pull. If you are doing a full disassembly, you need to pull it to remove the takedown lever, but not to do a basic takedown.
I was going through handguns just buying and selling to make a few bucks. This was the first gun that out of the case made me think, this is a well made gun. I wasn't a fan of striker fired pistols and didn't like that there was no safety. From a mechanical standpoint, the factory trigger was light years ahead of Glock g17 and g19. The tactical gave slide plates for different optics and the adjustable grip was perfect. Never had a malfunction and it was a decent size and weight. It felt good in your hand and I always tell people how good it was.
I got that one, different color, and I also got the VP9 Match. They're great, H&K does almost no marketing because they don't really care about the consumer market is what I gather. The trigger is a bit tricky to master, it's primarily a law enforcement, military, duty style thing. It does accentuate every mistake I make in trigger pull which is a lot of them but if I focus a little bit it's ridiculous accurate even for me. If you can shoot a VP9 well it makes brands like Canik and the Walther PDP line stupid easy to shoot. The VP9 has features and the quality of build that costs a bit more but in a pinch I can't imagine a better polymer pistol.
The VP9 models are industry best of breed. Love my VP9 SK. Its all about how a pistol fits your hands. And ergonomics are paramount. The back straps and side panels lead the way. Please test the P30 hammer fired model. DA/SA matters. Striker fired is so 1980s and blaa.
I'm a fellow cross eye dominant. I didn't know I was until I was 10 so I really don't know what the world would look like without it. Never really hampered me, don't love red dots as much as the world seems to, I've taken all of my red dots off pistols except the Walther PDPs which seem to work with the red dot. VP9 is a great pistol, everyone should have one in their safe.
I didn't know I was cross eye dominant until 9 years ago when I started shooting skeet. I'm 54 now and have managed it very well to the point of being able to select my dominant eye. I shoot with both eyes open and manage very well with lots of practice. If you think pistols are hard, try a shotgun.
I have 2… one has 5k rounds through it.. the other less than 200.. the more you shoot it.. the better the trigger becomes.. i like them both, but the one with 5k through it… THAT trigger is AWSOME !!!!!!!
I bet that thing is smooth as butter with 5k rounds. Mine has maybe 50 and its still probably the best striker fired trigger ive had so far. Just picked it up today in fact
Tbh it’s the most accurate striker fired pistol I’ve fired. N I’ve shot A LOT Walther PDP which was very accurate but the VP9 seemed to do better for me even points so naturally I’ve shot every 320 you think of CZ P10C n Full M&P 2.0s XDM Springfield echelons etc
It scares me every time I see someone play with a gun they didn't spend 2 minutes to explore. Like this fella. 2 minutes tops he would know you don't pull the trigger on a vp9 to take apart or put back together.
I bought one of these several years ago when they came out and I didn't like it. The stupid plastic inserts in the serrations broke off after one class, the ambi slide release had way too much flex to be usable, the pistol shot way low compared to all of my other pistols and I just thought it felt very cheap in the hand. There is a perceptible difference in quality between the vp9 and the p30 or USP. I got rid of it after a year of trying to get along with it. Maybe my example was a bad one but it was one of my least favorite pistols I've bought in the last decade
You said several years ago? Could be that it changed bc there is no plastic on mine and it's a quality gun. Sorry you had a bad situation like that. If you get a chance to try a new on definitely try it. Would love to know if it's better?
I shoot 200 rounds with it this morning. I'm still in shock with the precision and stability. It does feel light (cheap). I'm interested to buy it. The B model optic ready. I prefer it over a shadox 2, I dunno why 😕
the vp9 is good.. IF i could talk to them and have them change things... finger grooves need to go... they mess my grip up. i have large hands real meaty things, and my hands ends up not setting right,,, they need to figure a way to lighten the slide so the recoil dont feel like its backflipping from your hand... out side of those 2 its a amazing gun. sold mine for the czp09 and Glock 45. still wish i had it.. its a 499$ right now amazing deal..
I sure would like to know who started this trend of sticking your body parts in an open ejection port? Your eyes will tell you everything. Sticking your fingers in an open ejection port is just a way to claim for your RUclips audience: "hey look at me, I'm safer than the others".

Love my VP9SK SCS..a great edc
Nothing compares to my HK VP9 SK! Absolutely love it!
Nothing seriously, try a CZ shadow 2, then get back to me. FN 509?
Is it better than a Block 19...okay.
My oldest son, has one. It is a great handgun. He loves the HKs. Has the HK45 also

The paddle is badass cool looking 😎
Same here, I am trained on our American button release
Good news - be glad to have you back on the channel.

I have two VP9s and I love them.
FYI, pulling the trigger is not necessary for field stripping. See the owners manual.

I just got a vp9 over the weekend (Father’s Day gift from the wife) and man is it comfortable to hold!

That range is stupid.. If bullets may hit homes and buildings then properly build your berm higher...
You stupid?
the vp9 tactical is fantastic
