Virginia Miller You are very welcome! We didn't know either, until they refused to fill ours until it was requalified. Hopefully this video will save others from the same mistake. :)

The term is Certified. At ten years old, the tanks need to be re-certified. I have that same crossover on my tanks but I only turn on one tank at a time. When the tank that is turned on runs out, my gas appliances quit or the stove gets a very meager flame telling me that they are out of gas. I can then go out and close the valve that was open and open the valve that was closed. I still have plenty of gas and I am not in a mad dash to refill the empty tank to get my gas appliances operational again. This works very well for me and I don't have to be checking my crossover every day.
Great video, most people don't realize you need your tanks inspected after a period of time.

Great tip about U-Haul *maybe* having propane refill
I did exactly that but is it still normal to smell the propane as your disconnecting it ??
I thought that you were going to talk about the old style tanks with the nice optional valve handles, not just the newer mandatory ugly triangle valve handled tanks.
Next to checking tire dates thats got to be the most forgot item in a RV. There is a date stamped on the top of the tank.
