Hope your grandmother is safe and sound. Just came here from Nui Fm after listening to this song. I cant understand the lyrics but I have a company with Samoan and Tongan staff and NUI FM keeps pumping in the background. A mixture of FIJIAN/ SAMOAN/ TONGAN and COOK island jams keep us getting through the day. Take care and hope we survive this lockdown in NZ with unity among us.

That's the meaning of this song - it's sort of a lamentation by a guy who was in love but they couldn't be together.
Edit: and the guy instantly knew that he is not the "choice of the parent" as soon as his flowers landed on the floor hence he closed the box and bowed his head. His visit and his purpose is not welcomed in this house.
