You'll never understand, without watching the whole cartoon. Bongo fought for his Beautiful love and was victorious. If you think the slap reflected violence than you don't know how to read the spirit of it. Bears just love differently...hahaha
1:18 I have a theory: When Lulubelle playfully hid behind the tree, she climbed up a little bit to avoid Bongo from finding her. When she thought she was in the clear, she tried to sneak away by circling from behind the tree. However, she probably didn't expect Bongo to do the same from the opposite direction. Thereby, they accidentally bump into each other and meet face to face and nose to nose, albeit lovingly.

The airings when I was a child for Fun & Fancy Free/Mickey and the Beanstalk never had this included and the most I ever know that this existed was some airing in the 80s that was more music video like. If I remember right part of this played during the "No More Breaking My Heart" segment and often wondered where the bears had been part of.
