I think Susie is mid tier. A short ranged gun and a burst option that only goes far when charged is below average. Susie may have the best defense when in her Business Suit out of all other playable characters, even exceeding King Dedede's but it makes her very bulky and big, making her movements imprecise and making her prone to getting hit by attacks. Meanwhile, Magolor and the Three Mage-Sisters is literally input mashing with strong attacks that cover half of the screen, Adeleine & Ribbon can heal and use the hitbox on Canvas Cover to replicate the memes you can see about Fox in Super Smash Bros. Melee, Taranza is best described as Poison Kirby from Kirby Planet Robobot but with actual lag on moves, Marx has fast and safe options, Rick & Kine & Coo and Gooey have outstanding kits, Dark Meta Knight has huge disjoints and fast options, Daroach has immensely good zoning tools. Really Susie is as low as the Kirby's Return to Dream Land cast of Dream Friends.
How about Taranza next? He can free float like Maglor can, albeit at a snail's pace, but he can get around nevertheless. Or maybe you could let someone who's not a dream friend have a go, like Beetley?
The Mage sisters could also theoretically posible since Zan’s attack “Lightning Lemonade” can also somewhat grant her the flight of Taranza and Magolor. Not sure about Flamberge but Francisca has her own version Upwards slash and the attack where she throws her snowflake axe lets her sit in the air

I have an idea for an original no jump kind of challenge in a different Kirby game because in the original Kirby's adventure hovering and jumping were completely separate buttons and most of the time you just hover and there are some copy abilities that let you dash forward and run into walls like fireball but even still would be interesting to see can you beat Kirby's adventure without hovering (which is up on the d-pad)
