      I do too! He was my favorite Batman for a long time (and he's still up there). I felt like he was one of the first who was not only believable as Batman but, also, nailed Bruce Wayne's decadent public persona which some versions kinda glaze over. And yeah, he definitely has the darkness!

    • @gib1jack
      @gib1jack Год назад +3

      Agreed, while this film was more light-hearted than the first two, Kilmer still managed to capture the pain and darkness that Bruce Wayne went through during, especially during the flashback scenes about his parents. I also liked the chemistry he and Chase had together. In my mind, this film ended with them still together and Batman and Robin never existing

      @@thenoirknight5729 Burton was trying to be too serious, and I always got the impression he felt that Batman interacting with any law enforcement made the character look silly. It's also why Burton put Batman in a fantasy world instead of "reality" like Nolan, he didn't think Batman would look right in the real world. He wanted a serious dark character, but he was doing it his way. Schumaccher in this movie didn't care since he was purposefully going a bit back to the campy 1960s Batman. Nolan was finally the guy who came along and had the skill to do a dark and serious Batman that could interact with the police.

    This is where Nicole did a 180 and became the beauty and name she was always meant to be. Not saying she wasn't always beautiful but her curly hair was always a real meh point. She started straightening it here and it helped her tons, plus that makeup. Someone compared her to Bacall in her prime days and I agree. This movie and To Die For gave her her career tons of momentum; she didn't need Tom anymore.

      All this movie needed was to have style closer to Burton and I think people would have liked it more. I also think some of the designs definitely would have been better. Also if only TLJ didn't hate Jim Carrey

    • @quakethedoombringer
      @quakethedoombringer 2 года назад +1

      The movie would have been much better if Two Face was more serious, overtly violent and efficient while The Riddler...basically stays the same. The issue is that TLJ tried to outham Jim Carrey (which is a really dumb move btw) so you basically have 2 characters emulating the joker. Having TLJ be the serious character can balance out Carrey's overt wackiness

      Agreed… tbh I was kinda disappointed that they never stayed together after this movie. Of all of Bruce Wayne’s love interests in these old Batman movies, Chase was the one I liked most. I liked Vicki, but she left when she couldn’t handle Bruce’s double life, Selina was a tad too psychotic and Julie I just didn’t find that interesting. Whatever people may say about Batman Forever, I’ve always enjoyed the movie and Bruce and Chase had great chemistry onscreen ❤️
