Zeke you're the man! Been watching your videos for a year or two now, and and I can't thank you enough. Best series on the net. I wouldn't have nearly the game without your videos.

I play everyday against some pals I work with. Nothing like this, but spinning, obviously ist verboten. Consistently my shots on goal are faster and contain more velocity than there's, even though I am 20-30 years older. (This does not mean I am better.) Like the Sand Lot, we do not play for "runs", we just play. It is a great way to just decompress, for about an hour after work. Thank you for the videos.

Unreal Foos Hi Zeke, I'd like to know your opinion on this: Do you prefer pull or push(kick) shots? Is there any real difference, e.g. greater potential for higher lateral speed in a pull shot etc. At the moment, push(kick) shots work better for me, I have more control and can square the ball, I can do a fast pull but with spraying the ball. I hear people say it's easier to learn pull shots, it seems to be working the other way around with me. Thanks!

Hello, I'm french. Thanks for the explanation ! According to you, what is the best position for the guy : slightly behind the ball ? on the middle of the ball ? slightly front of the ball ?

Great tutorial. I'm having an issue with my pull shot being consistent. I notice that I can be pretty quick with my pull shot but I tend to lose control of the ball every 3-4 times I do a pull shot. When I lose control the ball just rolls away or when I hit the ball it flares to the right or left of the goal.
Also is it recommended to start the pull shot stationary. I've notice that the defends start anticipating my shot and am able to block my shot easily.
    Any suggestions? Thanks

Most likely your turnovers are due to tension in your arm, when you play under pressure or when you want to score really hard and 'rip it'.
If what you say it is true and your pullshot is quite fast the goalie has no real chance to block you with his reflexes, therefore you either have a tell or shoot always after the same amount of time after setting up the ball or you are not reading the defense correctly.
A third thing is, that when a forward hasn't established all the holes (shown the defender that he can hit them) the defender does not need to defend all of them, which makes his job way easier - maybe you have a favorite hole (typically long)?
The bank from the pull position and a sort of sprayed diagonal (when in reverse) are also good options to make your pullshot a bit more uncomfortable to defend.

Trick from a pro...set your shot up, look back at your defense (partner) because the other team is gonna be looking at what your doing and in that brief instant is when you shoot! should be able to do it with your eyes closed!

+Tiago Silva relax your hand and focus your energy on the slam far-side
it's best if the body stands straight up to let the hand do it all

Was Johnny Horton absent from Ohio State? Or did you exclude him from your list of great pull shooters? If the latter is true then you obviously don't know what you're doing.

Really no need for your silly comment, but i'll entertain it. It was Co. St, and I only named the great pull shooters that were there. I'll make a video about the all time greatest pull shooters someday, and obviously Johnny Horton would be on it.

You should go back to school! If interested I'll school ya! Your not teaching the science of shot placement.
