I remember watching this episode first time, I think it’s the only time I have ever seen a presenter present a show in crutches! Nick weir should have done more series’ of catchphrase but unfortunately the british public weren't ready for change in 2000, even though (i'm in the minority), Roy Walker's version looked outdated. Stephen Mulhern’s catchphrase is ok though but I prefer the weir era.
I knew very little of the Roy Walker era when it was originally shown on itv, I first knew Catchphrase in the Nick Weir era, but when I saw the Roy Walker era, it was a much better era, but I don't mind the Stephen Mulhern era in the 2013 revival series though.
Lol, Nick was obviously showing off and rudely gesturing at Roy Walker that he finally stole his show, thinking he was better than him! Serves Nick right for breaking his foot! I bet that Roy Walker had sneakily put oil on the stairs to get his revenge on Nick Weir! lol😂 Nick was like: "look at me Roy Walker! I'm better than you at presenting Catchphrase, now this is what I call a nice modern se...(he trips over) Ouch! My foot! Who made these steps slippery?!"

It could've been more worser if he said "Clutchphrase".
I think you mean "could have been worse".
