OI bridge you def need to be mindful of the tides. I have a paddle Kayak and won't consider fishing that bridge. Great info on bowerstown road. I've been over to that launch but have not fished down there...will give it a go on the next easterly facing wind day!

Hey man! I fish the OI bridge on my outback a lot. I pay very close attention to the tidal coefficient (Nautide app has it) and only fish the bridge on an incoming with favorable wind conditions.
I tuck into an eddy behind the pilings to fish them. There is also significant tidal lag, so you can feel the current going out even up to an hour sometimes after the tide was supposed to start coming in. It is definitely sketchY but going on a low coefficient day (I prefer below 70) and staying with the incoming makes it way less sketchy. I still absolutely would not recommend fishing the bridge to any novice kayakers, or anyone without pedals.

Well done. I really enjoy your videos about fishing the Outer Banks and especially how informative they are. I have been kayak fishing the last 5 years there and this year will be just wade fishing
because the last 2 years the wind has really made kayaking hit or miss. Thanks for all the information you have put out there...................
