Thanks. I’ve subscribed and will bid on what I see and like. Can’t wait to use them. Have a 12 year old grandson in steamboat, CO that I fish with and will send flies too. He ties as well.
Great looking fly. Another great way to build a thorax on flies like these is by using the split-thread technique with your dubbing/flash mix and a little cdc to simulate legs.
I got it. Number still matches up. I would not have thought that it would be that color.😊 I just Love the looks of Your Transparent Caddis Larva Mak. Pretty Color too! This one is my Favorite. So far I have tried a couple different brands, but I'm still not satisfied with the markers. Thanks to you, I will be ordering some of my favorite colors from them. Thankyou, my friend. You Take Care! PEACE 🕊
I tried this style with a tinsel wrapped shank underneath the transparent wraps. Seemed to add glow and disappear the silhouette of the hook shank somewhat.
Hi Mak, I’m new to fly tying and your patterns are a revelation, so thank you. Can you tell me on this pattern is the clear body material span flex or something else?
This is the one I meant to comment on. Couldn't you use a florescent thread as well or instead of the clear and using a marker? Or does the marker make it look much brighter?
So rad, by far one of my favorites, thanks Mak, Namaste!
Thank you Christian :))
In a word.... Brilliant!! 🐟🐟 Tight lines
Thank you so much friend 😊😊😊😊
This is beautiful and I'm sure to impress fishermen with a few of these in my box.
Thank you Frank, I am glad you like it :))

Hi Mak, I’m new to fly tying and your patterns are a revelation, so thank you. Can you tell me on this pattern is the clear body material span flex or something else?
Thank you Oliver, It is a Clear Stretch Beading Elastic :))
The brand is Crystaline; beading elastic.
This is the one I meant to comment on. Couldn't you use a florescent thread as well or instead of the clear and using a marker? Or does the marker make it look much brighter?
I could but I like clear stretch, it makes it more realistic
How can you purchase these flies directly and in larger lots and smaller hook sizes. Maybe a 16nor 18?
