- In this episode we continue the Bangsaen Thailand bucket list by taking a look at the best place to stay. We will check into the Tide Resort Hotel and tour the guest room and grounds before heading out for the best hamburger in town. Enjoy the Ride!

I stayed there a week. Very nice place. nice pool and steamroom. very peaceful. it must be 17 years ago. and was petty new then.

That burger made me salivate. As for Vee's "back whacker", priceless! Your comment, even more priceless, I laughed for five minutes. She seems to be a very fun person, jumping in the pool and trying the water slide. I have a Thai wife about the same age as Vee and she wouldn't go on a water slide if her life depended on it. We stayed here for 10 nights back in 2019 for a wedding. Such an amazing place to stay, and Eric's restaurant was brilliant 👏 we can't wait to go back 😀
The shrimp salad was very well presented as well.

This swimming pool is really beautiful, good size pool.
Great review ,Most hotels need an upkeep in Thailand ,it becomes second nature .After time you smile about the lack of 😊..The thai people makes you forget this instantly .

What a GREAT BACK SLIDE REVERSE TWIN TURBO POOL JUMP from Vee 🤣🤣.
Assuming that the Bang Saen Festival of Speed happens again would that be a good place to stay if you were attending it? Obviously I'd expect the prices to be higher then so more curious in terms of location and if the rooms facing the beach would give you a good view over part of the course. Thanks for the video.

Hi Lucas...spot on...The Tide is a nice resort. Luv the coffee/cafe/pastry shoppe directly outside the front of the resort there, not to mention the beach directly across the street.

Stayed at the Tide a number of times years ago and have good memories. I remember it being very popular with Thai companies who used it for their business functions and seminars. I had ear marked Bang Saen as a potential retirement destination, the place really grew on me.
Correct, they have large meeting rooms that cater to those groups as well.
I've heard of belly flops, but that's the first back flop I recall seeing.
Great to see they have so many good burgers in the area because that’s my favorite meal! I shouldn’t have a hard time finding a good one when I move there. Her backflop looks like when I attempt a back flip!
I should know better than to watch an episode on an empty stomach. That burger looks really juicy and tasty! 😮

Best bit about that room probably the balcony and view - it looked a picture... Its defo showing its age but sometimes its a bit like that in Thailand if you get upset by that kind of thing Thailand prob isnt the best destination... Its likely perfectly clean as you said so you have to go with the flow Sabai Sabai 👍
Shame they werent able to renovate during this lull but upping a place like that is going to be some serious money. Still its a beautiful looking place from outside and pool area looked great too. The rooms defo could do with a little work it could be great again.

Cant help noticing Bangsaen appers to be doing just fine with the pandemic.Pattaya on the other hand looks devastated? I am sure you see some opportunities there Lucas but I hope that the cure is found sooner rather than later and that Pattaya can recover once the tourists return.Keep up the great content your vlog is awesome!!
Yeah, so true, The two towns are polar opposites right now.
@@Rides4Kickz most likely because pattaya depends on foreign tourism especially the bars wheras bang saen is mostly thai tourists.

Great video. I've been lucky enough to stay at the tide resort a couple of times now. Overall it's lovely, rooms were a bit dated but grounds were beautiful and the service, pool and breakfast were excellent. Check out the cake shop overlooking the sea. Loved it

Hello Lou. I hope you and Vee are well! Tell me please, how does the Bangsaen beach rate? I've heard it's nothing special.... By Thailand beaches standards anyway!
It does not have the beauty of some of the island beaches for sure. But it is very nice and the big thing is, it is the closest beach to Bangkok. The closest does not mean the best or prettiest. But if you're in BKK and need a beach day, it is plenty good for that.

Saturday night Buffet at the Tide was a weekly thing before COVID 19, glad to see they are open again.
Yeah, seemed like they were one of the last of the hold outs for re-opening. But they were doing a pretty good business the day I was there anyway.
Great double bacon cheese burger
The Tide Resort looked good and Vee's back flop a 10.0🤸 also when in doubt order seafood woonsen and a cheeseburger with 🥓🥓 bacon!!
Hi Lucas, again a very nice resort with a central location. If you ask me I would just stay in Bang Saeng, a central location between Bangkok and Pataya, couldn't be better. Greetings and a good movement. 😀
Some resorts stand the test of time. This would be one of them. Vee seems to be something of a water babe.

Don’t know if you have done it, but would like to see car options in addition to your motorcycle videos. What are the auto choices? Maybe for an extended stay? Long term rental or buy? What if planning 3 month trip? Thanks.

My first ever holiday with a Thai lady we stayed at that Hotel, I enjoyed it as well, cost more per night 3 years ago though.
I'm sure she liked it.

How long is the ride from Bangsaen to Pattaya...you said you wanted to be closer to action..what are the biggest problems with Bangsaen?
one hour, but a tedious ride with constant traffic etc. Its all along the industrial cooridor.
Why do you stay in so many hotels when you live there anyway?
You should have Vee hold the One R on a meter extension pole while she slides down the water slide. :-)

Must be 5* hotel you get a bar of soap. Your burger meal is 50 cents cheaper than McDonalds at today's price in America and you get bacon and better veg and pickles. McDonalds might be fast but its not cheap and beef is expensive in Thailand.
