Looks like a pretty neat game and I'd definitely like to give it a shot sometime soon. The art looks familiar to me somehow as well As a side note, I've noticed your videos have had much less actual gameplay as of late, sometimes even just one round, like in this case. Is this a conscious decision you've made for the videos, or just something that winds up happening by the wayside? Your content is still great, and 20 minutes flies by when I watch, I'm just curious :)
it's in part because this is the busiest month of the year for me, in the weeks leading up to essen spiel. too many games to cover, i'm really swamped.
I think its pretty bad that you can make short loops. It's unthematic and also strong enough to make it a nobrainer. I'm not even sure if i would personally allow loops at all but i think sometimes it can't be helped.
I dont like it from a theme perspective. Loops don't produce things and that you have essentially 1 train in 6 places also kind of destroys the illusion for me. I do math for a living and i really need a game to create a believable narration, since otherwise i'm too tempted to build a theory about optimal strategies (which is a lot less fun for other people).
It's not unique in the fact that despite colourblindness being common the game still uses red/green/brown cubes with no symbols to tell them apart. It's unplayable by red/green colourblind players. Pretty inexcusable in 2017.
It's 2017, game companies should be taking accessibility seriously (and not just colourblindness accessibility), and being denied the ability to play a game you're interested in isn't solved by just choosing another. The same way a wheelchair user being told to use another restaurant because the new one they're interested in isn't accessible isn't the answer to the problem.
you can add stickers to the spaces pretty easy and cheap. Although I do agree they could have added symbols or a letter to help people differentiate the colors and resources. A cow, wool, steel etc symbols
What about people with no arms? How do they play this game? Should companies be taking that seriously too? Board games isn't exactly a lucrative industry.
Just found this 50% off at my FLGS. Looks like a game my girlfriend and I will enjoy. Thanks for the playthrough as always.

That makes total sense, Thank you for the reply
Sort of reminds me of Keyflower with the art. Just the general color scheme.
Me too!
Thank you, as always :)

I think the bigger issue is, if the rule is in fact what he states, that going in a loop doesn't satisfy the only moving west, north, or south rule.
Clarification from Ted Alspach: www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/1838339/coal-movement-clarification
it's really not overpowered, compared to everything else you can do in this game

How do I find the Klingon channel?
ruclips.net/video/-jLFPzNM6_g/видео.html :)
Just click on the gear in the bottom right of the video and change the subtitle language to Klingon
Thank you
In a 2 player game, both players start with only 2 coal.
noted... thanks :)

There are 1000s of games to choose from. If one doesn't work for you for some reason then choose another.

Nice straw man argument. 10/10 would read again .
