I'm Directioner and a huge solo harry fan, and not only I love 1989 but it is easily one of my favorite albums EVER. And one of the reasons for that is the fact that every time I hear a Harry reference, the most amazing smile appears on my face. The lyrics on this album are beautiful and Harry himself praised those songs. Also, I totally agree with IKYWT not being about Harry. I mean, the timeline doesn't fit into that theory. I firmly believe it is about Jake, but by the time the song came out as a single Haylor had broken up and people started to speculate. And since Taylor has a rule (and so does Harry) about never actually saying who the songs are about, the speculations kept running wild. As for her vma's speech, the key is when she says "he knows exactly who he is" like, everyone else has no idea and keep throwing stupid theories, but the guy knows. And Harry knows it too.
