Dr. Ikambana, originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, discussed the effects of racism on African communities in America. Drawing on his role at Friendship Place and background in African American studies, he explored historical and current injustices and shared insights from his human rights advocacy, linking these issues to the broader fight for equity in the U.S.
Delegate Moon shared insights from his work in public policy and law, addressing how systemic racism affects Asian communities in the U.S. Drawing from his experience in Maryland and nationwide, he highlighted the ongoing struggle for racial justice within Asian communities.
