Spiderman is the worst example. Ever since Disney bought Marvel, they cancelled The Spectacular Spiderman and gave us two new cartoons that are not well received in the fandom. One is a parody with childish humor, and the other is a soulless anime series look-alike. Only time will tell if Your Friendly Neighborhood will fail or not. As for the movies, they're pretty good, but they don't really respect their source material, especially since it feels more like an Iron Man spinoff.

I think part of why PotC failed with 4 and 5 was because they didn't have Will and Elizabeth. They were the real main characters and also the heart and soul of it. Jack was just the dramatic comic relief, which is great, but Will was always the main protagonist with Elizabeth as the deuteragonist.
Considering how much I was worried about Kingdom of The Planet of the Apes before the release, only to ended up loving that movie, let's hope Disney keep up the same path Caesar's franchise has been and never ruin it as well.
The ape movies are handled by the Fox part of Disney and iger is more intersted in trying to make Disney plus a thing, when its not a thing and will never be a thing until they can deal with all of the bad content that's being made for it and getting the production costs down!

I’m glad they didn’t ruined the Power Rangers, when Disney acquired the rights to the show as part of their acquisition of Fox Family Network. Buying Power Rangers back from Disney is the worst decision Saban has ever made because the Disney seasons were legendary. He could’ve just work at Disney again, otherwise the 2017 cinematic reboot would’ve been a success that it wants to get.
The Lion King should be on the list.
Honestly gonna turn on Mufasa just for fun whenever it comes out in Disney+. I saw Moana 2 when both were in theaters and I had that prioritized anyway.
I actually saw Indy 5 in theaters and loved it, even though I wish the franchise still ended with Indy 3.

I'll be honest that I didn't even know that Dr. Claw never had a face in the animated show. I don't think I ever actually got to watch it (90's baby), or by the time I could watch less toddler-friendly shows, I was already into Powerpuff Girls and never had a channel with that show on it.

Topic Suggestion - Best Movie Characters from each year of 21st century. Include fictional characters only and not characters based on real life people. Make a separate list for animated characters.

I had a similar idea for Worst Bosses from Animated films (can also include live action x animated like Osmosis Jones - I'll be honest, I would put Thrax as 2nd, and Madame Gasket from Robots as 1st) and they had to be non-royalty, so like gang bosses, businessmen, and the like.
Power Rangers (1993-2023) Now After Disney bought Saban Entertainment In 2001 things wasn't that bad seasons Like Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, SPD, Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive*, Jungle Fury and RPM were Decent to Downright Awesome the only outliar was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (2010) as It was just MMPR (1993-1996) edited like Adam West Batman (1966-1968) but Disney just did not want this TV Show In their library and maybe the Saban Entertainment Library and after buying Marvel In 2009 they got their Male Targeted IPs to counterbalance the Female Centric brands like Tinker Bell (2008-2015), Hannah Montana, High School Musical and Wizards Of Waverly Place and sold Power Rangers and PR Adjacent IP's back to Haim Saban In 2010 leading to the heavily Reviled yet Franchise revitalizing Neo Saban Era that gave the Disney Seasons recognition and made them favorites to many Power Rangers Fans hell love RPM, SPD, Jungle Fury and Operation Overdrive controversial opinion I know
Power Rangers did it dirty by not making some crossovers like Mystic Force, Jungle Fury, and RPM.
I never liked Disney's Power Rangers because I thought the Disney Era Power Rangers was too cartoonish and campy in the 2000s. I grew up with the Saban-era Power Rangers in the 90s and that will always remain true to my nostalgic heart.

This list was only movies released by Walt Disney Pictures. Star Wars is Lucasfilm, which although now owned by the Walt Disney Company, is a separate division from Walt Disney Pictures even though they are under the same umbrella. Also, I'm pretty sure Watch Mojo hates the Prequels as well.

I liked all the Pirates of he Carribean movies and Indiana Jones movies tbh. Johnny Depp is apparently supposed to be coming back not to mention he got an Oscar nod for his role as Jack Sparrow. For the Indiana Jones franchise I liked the last movie because it was his send off and Harrison Ford has said he was glad he made it.
The Lone Ranger movie I actually did like. I wouldn't mind a redo movie sequel or even a reboot
There should a list of franchises that Disney bought out to destroy. These were promised to be continued but never got any development and just left on the shelf, like Super Ted. No need to fear the competition if you buy it and let it rot.

For me, the series that disney ruined that I am most angry about is the chronicles of pydan which is a 5 book series? No one knows this, though. Because their stand anlone movie was the black cauldron, which was the second book in the series.
The horn king wasn't even the villain in that book he was the villian in the first book, The Book of Three

One of Disney's most successful, most popular franchises to this day. Also notable for having one of the most critically and commercially successful straight-to-video sequels.
And what did they do to follow that up?
The Lion King 1&1/2, a movie whose only ambition was to take a giant crap all over the original.
The Lion Guard, which... Well, it did get better, but everyone from the youngest to most nostalgic viewers had trouble getting passed the farting contest (yes, they actually did that).
And of course, a 2019 shot-for-shot "live action" remake, and its Mufasa prequel that blew up the established canon that The Lion Guard had taken such painstaking care to work around while leaving intact.
The Chronicles of Prydain should be replaced with Star Wars. That might be a bad adaptation, but it was a great movie and an hidden gem from a Disney that is no more.

Idea for the future: top 10 cartoon franchises that got worse after changing studios. Example: Captain Planet was great in DiC’s first three seasons but went south after Hanna-Barbera took over from the fourth season.

It all went to poo when Eisner left, yes he was hated, but he had one of the best runs for movies. Hence "Disney Renaissance", then the 2000's hit and he was ousted, and then Iger, nuff said 😏😒
