My favorite feature of the 2024 Model X is one you didn’t mention. Autoshift out of Park into Forward OR Reverse. It knows which way you need/want to go. Of course you can override if it is not your desired intention.
@tz1592 I don't disagree on the aesthetics. It's the muscle memory that is the issue. With the stalk I can hit the blinker quickly without looking. With the tiny button, not so much.
I concurred with all the likes, quirks & features of the Tesla X. The only thing that I think is not a big deal on dislikes is the viser. How is Tesla gonna get around that without changing the entire esthetics of panoramic & sky views?. I just learned to live with it 😊
I have a Blue 2022 Model X that I love to pieces! There is only one feature that drives me crazy. When you walk by the driver's side door. The door will open even if you don't want it to. I've learned to take my key fob and phone out of my pocket when I am walking by the car and not getting inside.
I bought my 2024 MX about 2 months before you. I have 8K on mine. It took me about 2 months to adjust to the stalkless turn signals. Now it really makes no difference to me. The raised tactile feature between R&Lbuttons locates the proper button. I still do not like the stalkless Park/forward/reverse/Neutral shifter. I'm tall so my seat is all the way to the rear which means I have to lean forward to touch the screen. With the new 12.4.3 release the Drivers side door pops out when you get close and when you hit the interior oe exterior latch not pops put about 50%--much better. But still not as good as the older MXs. The visor works well for me --I find that as long as I don't latch the visor, I can move it up pr down to shade my eyes regardless of sun angle. I"M very pease with my purchase. I did not know about audio noice cancelling--thanks--learned something.
@jbrock4849 the newest software release will auto shift forward and reverse for you. Just have to turn the feature on. I've found when I back out of the garage and prepare to go forward, if I tap the brake and turn the wheel slightly the slides into drive. Great feature!
Tesla Owners: About the blinkers. Just use your sense of touch. There is a line between right and left. Just feel for the line and move your thumb up to turn right and down from the line to turn left. You don't have to look for anything. Keep your eyes on the road and feel the line between left and right. One simple thumb movement instead of an entire arm movement to find the old stocks. Never stop learning new things or you will be stuck in life. You have less than 100 years left. Go to your Tesla, sit inside and relax. Close your eyes and place your thumb on that line. Get a feel for it and its' position. Then move your thumb up, that's the right signal. Slide your thumb back to the line. You feel it. Slide your thumb below the line, that's left. It's that simple.
I don't mind the shifting on the screen, but I hate the turn signals on the steering wheel. Invested in a front roof sunscreen which I use in warm weather. Thanks, I'm loving my X as well.
@@LF-du4uc I'm on my 3rd Tesla and loved everyone. What's great is every car is better as it gets older because of over the air software updates. I'd say many people who buy other legacy cars are the real suckers.
@LF-du4uc Having owned multiple BMWs I've seen plenty of vehicle depreciation. No car short of an antique is an investment. Buy what you enjoy driving, work it hard then move onto the next one. :-)

Good job. I agree with everything, except your opinion on the stalks. Less is more!! I enjoy the minimalistic nature of the X.

Great - I tend to buy and keep my cars for years and many miles.
I hope these cars will hold up for a good ten or 12 years as a gas car can do.

can it close on its own if you walk away?
@@user-hu7wf9xr7i you can turn that feature off in the 2024 model. I guess not the same in 2022?
@@Coffee_Cars_and_Adventures That would be awesome if I could. I will look into it. Thanks for the suggestion!!
I like the Hands-Free Trunk feature they added in one of the most recent updates. You can enable it under the Locks settings.

Hi new sub here, I am still having my doubts on buying a tesla product. I don't know if I am ready to go full on electric, and if so buying a tesla.
Nothing on fsd? Or the SW update infrastructure?
@hb0mb52 I've used the FSD quite a bit just haven't made a video on it. It's on my list to cover in the near future.
This was helpful, God bless!
Any popping noises??? Like on the a pillars

Accept no stalks, old man
@AyahuascaDataScientist change is hard for us old guys!
AyahuascaDataScientist. No need to be rude. You will get old to believe me. I'm sure your parents are old too.
The price
@ngarambechristophe8156 around $81,500 delivered. The prices fluctuate frequently but you can spec on on the Tesla website for most up to date prices.
It’s all cool until you try to resell it and lose your shirt. But it your money to burn.
