- I made an English cover for Qiang Jin Jiu’s (Ballad Of Sword And Wine) ending song of the first Audio Drama season :D
Finally a song where I felt it was ok to bust out a vibrato that spans from heaven to hell and back hahahah
I just love doing this with my voice xD (and this seems to be more present in this type of Chinese music or also in Chinese Opera, please enlighten me if anyone knows more about this, non-Chinese sources are so hard to come by (´∀｀）)
Also this again was one hell of a writing process (´∀｀) The first verse came sooooo naturally and in a matter of seconds it seems but towards the end I really started despairing xD especially for this “outro” like part I could not for the life of me think of something, until I thought of and then settled for this “image”. There are probably some who will think it’s cute while others will wonder what on earth that cheesy sht is hahah anyway, I worked so long on this part that I have no idea what’s right and wrong anymore, but I really liked the mental image of Lanzhou calling his little wolf pup Ce’an to come rest with him at the end of day sooo ┐(´∇｀)┌

Usually well always , a song is most beautiful in the language that it is sang and written originally for reasons lm sure everybody has an opinion on ---- You beautiful lady captured the attitude of chinese music in English better than l've heard before....now not to say l understand much about Chinese music,lm not Chinese and having not studied it all l can brag is understanding what it makes me feel when listening ,and l get that same feeling from your cover....at points of your song l forget that you're actually singing in English and listen to the rises and falls of your voice - the sharp high and sharp lows ....l mean if l were to have lived in those times l'd fancy myself one of those young scholars who spent their whole youth looking for the poetry in a leaf falling 🤔🤣🤣 ....thank you for this cover, l hope u continue and only get better

Danke :) ja, beim Original hört es sich ja eher einfach kraftvoll an bei den höheren Parts, bei einer Frau ist das schon sehr "kopfstimmig" dann 😅 wusste auch erst nicht, ob ich das Lied transponieren (also tiefer von den Tönen machen) soll oder es so lassen soll wie es ist, aber wenn es dir gefällt, war es ja eine gute Entscheidung, es so zu lassen 🥰🥰🥰🙏
