Honestly, I'd say if he becomes too much of a hassel, just buy a=him out and send him packing. We have other guys who can fill in, most of which are much younger- ie Cabrera.
I'd make the case that Giancarlo is more injury prone when he is constantly DHing getting too tight. I think if they play him at least 1 to 3 times a week at the OF. He would stay looser and healthier. Stanton also hits worse as a DH in his career and hit under .200 as DH last year.
The key for the Yankees is durability. We have seen they have been through injury bug. We have seen this in the pitching, the lack of depth in minor leagues for pitching (Thanks Montas) means any injury on the pitching means Yankees may have to start trading their IF away. Keep my fingers crossed. My gut feeling, they still need one more year with Volpe mature in MLB, Peraza replacing JD/IKF and Dominquez coming in to win it all in 2024.
I don't care what anyone says, opening day in baseball is the greatest single event in all of sports.....and yes that includes the super bowl. Then..........the second day of baseball happens and that's when I realize my weed supplier might be spiking my shiit!!!!! (Crying)
The fact that Aaron Hicks is still on the team, let alone the starting left fielder, is shocking and a stark example of why this team will never amount to anything with Brian Cashman as GM.
I could see the Yankees promoting Austin Wells late in the season if he does well, just to get another left-handed bat in the lineup. Once again, they are predominantly right-handed and that’s not a great thing.
can the yankees clintch 1st place in the Div yes. can the yankees beat the twins or the idians from clevlend Yes. can the yankees beat the Astros yes only on Mars and Pluto not on Earth not with the team they have same issues as last year cant bring in guys from base.
A lot of managers hit their best hitter 2nd these days. I agree he shouldn’t lead off, but statistically the #2 spot sees way more RBI opportunities than the #3 spot
Donaldson has a long and well documented history of messing with rookies beyond the normal hazing. If he even LOOKS at Volpe.....we riot.
That’s where the captain needs to step up and prevent that from ever happening
@NYYRecaps I'd say our GM should do something before hand but he had all off-season to do it and failed...
Name an example?

@@PinstripeTerritory Judge is not gonna let any stuff like that fly, I'm sure. Not much to worry about.
I hope Volpe learns to bunt, with his speed thats an easy 5 extra hits at least.
Derek, new rule proposal: If you use the word decimated three times in one episode, you buy a round of drinks for your viewers. 😆
Please start Cabrera in LF
Amazing video my man, I hope the Yankees have a good 23 season.
Thanks for catching us up. Let’s go Yanks!!!
So pumped for the new season!
Let's go Yanks! Looking to another great year following the team with you, Derek.
feeling confident about this team! #GOYANKS
Lets get it going baby!!!
So excited for the season, but can’t help but be very concerned about all of our health/injury issues.
Volpe will be at his best in June. He’ll adjust flawlessly
Maybe this is the year Hicks can actually contribute reasonably
Let's go Yankees 🗽🗽🗽.

If I were the Yankees, I'd trade some prospects for some pitchers, especially some lefties which we are in desperate need of in the bullpen
💯 %
Top notch content, thanks and good luck 🎉
Josh Donalson makes me want to trust what I see in march
lets go yanks

48 hours let’s go Yankees mission 28
Nice recap
I would have Cabrera play left field.
Choparro swing reminds me of Nelson Cruz
Opening Day, Cole on the mound...

rule changes for pitchers is reason for injuries to me
Could be. Worried about that but we will see
I would add IKF into your list of potential outfielders
Fair -when he plays there during the season I will.
Please Yankees get rid of Hicks and Donaldson

Yankees will Never win it all with Aaron Boone as skipper! What A-Hole would lead off your best power hitter? That player should always bat 3rd!
