- This is my video of my ARRL Straight Key Night(day) experience. It's all about morse code, old tubes that GLOW, chirps, keys, paddles, some of my QRP rigs and lots of on the air CW.

Thanks for taking the time to make a GREAT Video on SKN. I too had a great time operating my first SKN and worked 3 stations running 40 watts with Drake T4x and R4C. Fun to slow down and feel the moment. Again thanks. Bob

My first (Novice) rig was a 'Johnson Viking Adventurer'' I learned the hard way not to reach across the plate cap on that 807..'Zap-Sizzle-Ouch'
I was quite proud to receive my 15 WPM (W1AW) endorsement sticker. I tried to get my Extra class ticket, but never managed to pass the 20 WPM code test requirement. If I remember rite, the tests were given on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at the (Dirksen Federal Building) in Chicago. Thanks for the memories...73's WB9RTZ. Freddie

Great video, it was nice to see my HW 16 and HG-`0B along with the keys I used for SKN. The HW-16 will be back o the air SKN 2011.

I think the the only thing slower, more usless, and more boring, is communication via smoke signals. Or semaphor. Maybe time for you guys to upgrade your communications to wired gigabit ethernet.
