Thank you for admitting it was market manipulation - so many out there kept denying it. It was painful to watch from the outside trying to warn people to not pay exorbitant prices but in turn kept getting told "this is just natural SWSH growth and it will only go up from here!"
I mean, the whole TCG market is just manipulation. One side is collectors who want to enjoy the cards, and the other is investor bros who jack up prices by buying up the supply. You call them out and they get offended, saying they're "investors" when they're actually just scalpers. At the end of the day, they want to make sure you don't get your cards so they can screw you down the road.
Same! I'd almost completed the trainer gallery sets (decided to just collect them rather than the full sets to save on cost) when all the prices shot up.. Now I can get the remaining ones for decent prices 🥳 happy days
Honestly for how nice those cards are I don’t understand why they are dropping so much . But I think later on in a year or two they will bounce back . Once more ppl start to realize those are the last cards printed in a yellow border . I think that’s gonna matter in some time . And we haven’t really seen trainer gallery since those cards

They are beautiful cards and we are almost 2 years removed from the last SWSH sets. It doesn't take long for out of print sets to spike in price.

“Died” seems to be a bit disingenuous… if you told me 2 years ago all my cards would have appreciated on average $5-7 in most cases (even more in others) I’d be very happy! We saw the market inflate and now it is stabilizing- still glad cards are higher than when I opened them
