Basically the reboot cartoon failed with kids and now they’re trying to target the original millennial/early Gen X audience. But the thing is I think people wouldn’t mind a teen-adult PPG cartoon on HBO Max that just showed the girls older and having to balance their adult lives with their heroics, minus any woke Twitter pandering. I think there’s an audience for a mature PPG but it’s not this CW series haha

Diablo Cody is basically the female version of M Night Shyamalan. She made one pretty good movie but in hindsight overhyped movie (Juno), a movie immediately after that wasn't too bad (not as popular at the time but may be slightly better than Juno like Unbreakable is a bit better than Sixth Sense) called Jennifer's Body and then she was hyped as the next big thing but has consistently face planted with flops ever since.
