Great detailed review. Could you pls provide review driving this in hills or stiff road? Considering the limited power it offers, I want to ensure it doesn't create any issue in average stiff road

The DCA is very useful for commutes, it just has to prove that it’s reliable. Looking at the current traffic conditions, an automatic makes most sense.

Excellent review. I appreciate. One question. In city drive due to neck to neck traffic with frequent gear changes, how does DCT or DCA perform? Does it get heated up, does it require frequent repair etc.

The problem is, most consider the automatic DRIVE mode to do it all, and forget to move to neutral when at a standstill.
When at a signal, or in blocked traffic, if you stay in neutral, there won't be any major problem.
It is a wet clutch unit. Heating problem usually arise in dry clutch dual clutch. Overheating is very unlikely for this type of dual clutch gearbox. Thankfully tata have had it in mind.

In tiptronic manual mode at high RPM , the speedo shows 120kmph @ 5th gear. Even with The tall gear ratio , the 6th gear overdrive is not shown. Is it the limitation of I.2 lit 3 cylinder Engine? seems Ignis is far better AMT at 5th (Top) gear moves to 145kmpl. & Good milage. - your views please.

Good and valid points are covered in this review. However, i would to know weather this car with DCA transmission will this be easy in bumper to bumper traffic? Currently, I am owning a 2009 i10 sportz AT car which is in very good condition, and I dont feel any lags/jerks while the gears change. And very easy to drive in bumper to bumper traffic.
Stick to that.....automatic from Tata I would not trust

i am altorz owner (XZ,2020) i just wonder why tata motors do not think of 4 cyl engine? it could have been good :( and smooth gear system when it comes to manual
Altroz DCA vs i20 CVT
i20 has a refined 4 cylinder engine , but probably a poor mileage.
Altroz has better mileage but poorer NVH.
Can you please help in this decision ;
Quantify and help understand how major is the difference in the mileage and NVH.
I will certainly be buying the Verna 2023 (second car) when it launches ,
hence slightly tilted towards Altroz so that I can have different looking/company cars.

For your first car, I'd say get the Baleno Alpha AGS.

Gearbox is not made by Tata. It is made by the Belgian company Punch Powertrain.
Why sales of altroz is down? Is it tata punch eating the pie?

"Will not find scraping large speed-breakers" - you have obviously not driven in Bangalore....here, sometimes just moving from one road to another is enough to scrape the underbelly of the car 😂. Bangalore engineers find it an engineering challenge to join two roads without providing roller-coaster experience!!

As of now, Baleno. Altroz when it comes with the iTurbo motor.
Honda jazz CVT
The only thing which is letting tata to be second is the engine. The moment they click that hidden spot they will be invincible
To me they are quoting 11 lakh for same varient
4 cylinder engine hona cahiye...and shark fin antenna...rest every thing is ok
That engine sound creeping inside is very irritating

Tata provides everything great except ENGINE..
Worst car you can own. Probably RUclips marketing is paid marketing. The car has basic flaws other than nvh level issues. Repenting my decision to buy this car.
