I've got a couple of Sekondas with a Mecha Quartz Movement. It's really good ! I thought it was a mechanical movement at first ! I was so impressed I bought another one ! Absolutely Fantastic Invention !
2:52 +-20 s/month is quite standard, many quartz watches along this pricepoint have +-15 s/month. The chronograph movement of the MoonSwatch at 0:21, likely an ETA G10.212 AJ, has a whopping accuracy of max +-10 s/YEAR!
Thank you for the great video. Will you be examining the Seiko VH31 movement? Seems to be the same sweep technology, finally no alignment obsession with the seconds hand and all.
So good?! It astonishes me how virtually no one critiques the VK63 movement (and related calibers). A workhorse beater no doubt, but the 24h subdial at 3:00 is utterly useless and completely destroys the utility of a chronograph. The only people who purchase these watches are those that don't know any better.

Can't wait to see the next video build.

Is an chronograph i know, but incredible how Seiko did +-5s/year back in the 80's in some models. crazy to think.

It is a new Movement from Seiko?
Does it have the same dimensions as the VK63?
Is this VK64? According to Seiko, the VK64 has a day-date complication, it's not a chronograph movement.

We'll have a kit with this movement pretty soon. Stay tuned!

Why? The 24h on the 3 o’clock is not supposed to be GMT like people who think that they know better wants to. It’s just to showcase AM/PM
