what kind of tires u got on the rear of the 5020? Tim glad you enjoy running the old 5020 them were the real tractors now if it dosent have a cab, air, computer and finger switches for the hydros now one wants to run them the next generation is getting LAZY!!!
Our return line on our 4020 got pinched above the fuel tank and wouldn't let the fuel return fast enough and caused symptoms of a bad pump . We fixed it and back to normal .
We have a 5010 and sometimes the inlet to the pump gets a chunk of dirt inside. When this happens the 5010 will start losing power and it won't rev up.
No Tireject problems here. I put it in a couple of tires on a JD garden tractor that had good tread but cracked sidewalls, they would not hold air for more than 2 days. It's been just about a year since I put the Tireject in and I haven't had to touch them once.
Completely off topic but I watched the movie zombie land the other night and I think woody harrelson got his wardrobe ideas from watching your channel. You could be his stunt double lol
Hello mr. pandy! Just curious. Would ever consider a nice telehandler for moving the amount of hay that u do? just seems like it would be much faster for u then the tractor. Just a thought. Thanks!
I seen you still have that smaller kubota sitting in the garage, I am looking at compact tractors with a loader and really like the John Deere 1025r and 1026r and was wondering what your thoughts on your kubota are. I know the tractors I am looking at are by far smaller than what you run but curious if you have any experience with the smaller JD subcompacts
what gear did you use when you first started filming on the 720. and did you start on that hill or did have stop and down shift then you stopped again was that road gear then. not a bad vid for us but bad vid for you cause now you have another problem to fix. good luck. looking forward to the 5020 repair vids
bio fuel in it? I had to drain my high lift and chipper. The pump had to be taken apart on the chipper. I won't use it unless on the road in the truck and that is to get me back to real fuel.
I spent days chasing lack of power in a 6200 before I found the single gauze screen on the inlet to the pump. It did get new fuel lines and filters before I found out.
I am surprised you don't own a lathe and a milling machine to make your own bushings and other repairs on your equipment could save you lots of time and money in the end and good experience for the boy to learn
my 520 to me is a little loud when take muffler off when brush hogging along the tree line. got sick and tired of the muffler grabbing branches and then getting smack in the face or arm using it as shield
Either the tank inlet has some trash in it . Or you need to give it a health dose of injector cleaner in the fuel. Or your oil bath filter has plugged the intake tube.
just wondering if you had ever thought about coming Canada to but a tractor,,your dollar is worth at least 30% more and our,s,just have to load it on the straight truck and haul it home.By the way I live in New Brunswick on the border to Calais Maine.
When those roosa master pumps go bad, they'll plug up the orifice in the fitting that comes out of the pump for the fuel return with a black plastic like material. It's from the cage that holds the weights together for the governor. It'll act just like the filters are plugged and after it sits and it looses the back pressure, it'll start again and run for a few minutes.
Hey Wes I was just wondering if it would help your equipment if you occasionally put some Lucas Oil fuel treatment and top end lubricant in your fuel? and I was also wondering if you used to have dual's on the 5020?
Poor 5020 I really like watching you take that one out for a spin on the occasion. But it was going to be needing repairs anyway might as well have the old girl fixed and tightened up.
how you doing guys, fine i hope.when your walking around the farm im always seeing all kinds of cars and im an old hot rodder,so if you can, show us your ,meaning, you and tims cars,id love to see them.thanks. mike elcamino
on those stanadyne roosa master injection pumps when thr governor ring starts to fail small particles will clog the oriface check valve... I have had this happen on several gm cars you can get it working for awhile bu breaking the little glass bead out of it... but yes it tends to blow the seals if the pressure builds up
check the steel filter thingie in the tank,it can get clogged with dirt and grime, not 100% clogged but enough to make the engine stall out cos of not enough fuel getting through. a neighbour had that prioblem with an old MF 35 that was seldom used.
That style injection pump is known for the return lines or fitting at pump plugging which will cause an over pressure in the pump and it won't run. Also there is a retaining ring inside the pump that goes bad and does the same over pressure and won't run. They will generally start and run good for a very short amount of time and then shutoff. You can loosen the two screws on that hold the timing cover on the side of the pump. It will leak fuel but start and stay running quick test to see if the pressure is getting too high inside the pump. If the return fitting goes bad you can pop the ball check out and it will run as well.
Seems like I've read that on those rotary pumps, any blockage in the return line will cause a pressure build up in the pump case and you lose power. To test it you loosen the screws on the pump timing cover to bleed off the pressure and see if it runs normal with the cover still loose. Maybe someone else can confirm?
Ever since you showed TireJect, I have been converted. That stuff is awesome. So much easier to use than slime or any other inferior product. TireJect for life!
why? that 730 pulled it fine. He only had to down shift because the grade of the hill is so steep. also wheres the fun in pulling something with a tractor you use everyday
Mario Knife Making that makes no sense. and how do you reckon it is fair to blame a kid for wanting to take his ride of choice to the field? everyone has been there and done that.
those roosa master pumps are fairly easy to work on, i have one torn apart right now.
One of the best tractors that John Deere ever built
.
Wes I want to say the 5020 have a complex with that aeroplain front tires, air inside and plane outside, just a joke lol
Sweet looking Cutlass in the back ground.
.....with that pointless, vinyl-covered roof. Just like General Motors....!!!
I enjoy seeing those old tractors run. Good video.
Poor thing sounds like it's only running on two cylinders. :>)

Cool tractors, liking your channel!
Our return line on our 4020 got pinched above the fuel tank and wouldn't let the fuel return fast enough and caused symptoms of a bad pump . We fixed it and back to normal .
I have the tireject three times with success ! thank you for telling me about it !
unexplainable to normal man, Priceless!

Very nice video again OK Wes, right Tim 😂😛😂😛😛😂😛😂

That old 2 cylinder needs a sticker saying "the ole chugga bug"
I have never used tireject. And I have flats all the time.
Hello mr. pandy! Just curious. Would ever consider a nice telehandler for moving the amount of hay that u do? just seems like it would be much faster for u then the tractor. Just a thought. Thanks!
the clutch on the 720 sounds weak my b is like that look into it before its ruined wez

u got to run 2 cyl.good for it.nice farmall beside it in garage
my 520 to me is a little loud when take muffler off when brush hogging along the tree line. got sick and tired of the muffler grabbing branches and then getting smack in the face or arm using it as shield
good to see Lil brother pullin big brother home! right tim?? She sounds great!!
Make sure it's not air locked first! My case 930 will suck air if the fuel gets low and I'm On a hill
it might have fuel when she is standing but when its movein the dirt will be rollin around blocking it .. seems wrorse on the hills......
Either the tank inlet has some trash in it . Or you need to give it a health dose of injector cleaner in the fuel. Or your oil bath filter has plugged the intake tube.
luckily that appears to be a roostamaster in pump . I think I said that right they are probably the cheapest pump to have repaired on this planet
just wondering if you had ever thought about coming Canada to but a tractor,,your dollar is worth at least 30% more and our,s,just have to load it on the straight truck and haul it home.By the way I live in New Brunswick on the border to Calais Maine.
blow air back down from the pump back to the tank. cheap things first
If the outlet check valve seazes up it wont run and it blows the cup seals on the shaft
get a steady cam ! Please ! think i'm gonna throw up...
with your expertise wes your soon have her up and running again....
Check the vent tube on the tank...just under the fill cap
Frickin' roosa master, those damn things..........
nice to see father and son still working together
you should make some small bales with the mature tractors

Is that the ih wheel loader at 3:00 in the vid ?

Tim needs a hat like you have Wes.

had the same problem not on a 5020 but problem with little check valve that was dirty mine was on the inlet side of the injection pump great video
thank goodness! I thought the 5020 was truly dead. that doesn't make repairing it any more fun but at least it's repairable

Wes, you should get that M to pull its weight.
is the 730 john deere fixed?
Ever since you showed TireJect, I have been converted. That stuff is awesome. So much easier to use than slime or any other inferior product. TireJect for life!

What ever happen to the dozer you were going to buy motor for and clean up the woods area!
I might sound stupid here but wouldn't it be more sensable to pull the 5020 with the bailing tractor( forgot it's name)
why? that 730 pulled it fine. He only had to down shift because the grade of the hill is so steep. also wheres the fun in pulling something with a tractor you use everyday
there's a seat at my local adult entertainment facility that has a purrfect impression of my dare-ee-air
what tractor is the burning one on your picture?
4960
We had an old 3010 that did the same thing and we just took those ball valves out and it ran fine after that
so jelous of that 720 and the 730 I'm crying lol
TIREJECT WORKS>
Sneaky "Right Tim?" in the last second.
do you fill the fuel filters up with fuel when replaceing so they dont draw air
Tim is the opposite of the text on t-shirts that's for sure...
Mario Knife Making that makes no sense. and how do you reckon it is fair to blame a kid for wanting to take his ride of choice to the field? everyone has been there and done that.
Karsten Jackson I would suggest to look once again and then go to an optician for eyeglasses ....
Then read my comment again...
Old Johnny Popper. Can't beat the sound of them.
Excellent video my Friend. One of the Best.
Sell it.
boy that's a shame, them 5020s are BEASTS
Ball Check valves?
I can finally say first lol. Poor 5020 though
What do youtube give you for being first to comment on a video?
MJM Sound & Light lol $100.00 didn't you know?
onelonleyfarmer Wes made a funny!
onelonleyfarmer damn right lol
It's running sound is that of a vacuum leak.... Is that even possible? (Fuel/air ratio buggered.....?!?!)
When are u going to start harvesting
Cash Wolinski I have been harvesting since May.
When are u going to do a video
he has made tons of videos on harvesting
No muffler needed Wes. She sounds good!!!
One problem, that tractor is loud with out a muffler, Its 100% deafening without the muffler
What's in the safe at 3:46?
Sky King Most likely firearms, since he said he was going to be reloading ammunition in the upper level of that building.
make a video with your Kubota
This tractor is not a 5020. This is an old 2 banger.
C I Wall he was pulling the 5020
