    • @shootingstar0312
      @shootingstar0312 Год назад +56

      even if death wasn't personified, its not bad,
      its natural, we only fear it for what it means.
      it means being separated from the ones you love.
      we focus so much on the sad part and fear of Separation, that we forget how natural death is, it has always been, and always will be,
      I still fear it, for I won't know what will happen to those I love, and bcs I won't be able to protect the ones I love,
      but I think that one day when death stands before me, I will accept him,
      if there is such a thing as a soul, I might stick a bit longer to watch my loved ones for a moment longer, before joining him, and waiting, being happy that one day I will be reunited with my loved ones^^

    Death is kind. He does not forcefully rip you away from your loved ones. He simply guides you to the afterlife, where you no longer feel physical pain, and no longer suffer from your wounds. He doesn't make you come when you are not ready. Instead, while you cannot return to your original form, he allows you time to process everything that has happened. Time to say, not goodbye, but see you later, as you settle yourself into a place you'll eventually be joined by your loved ones when their time comes. I think I feel more at ease now with this realization.
    Death didn't steal my dad from me. What took him was his illness. Death only guided him to his next destination. It's been 4 years, but I don't think dad was that scared. He probably knew he would go before anyone else knew he would. I'm fairly certain my dad thought of death as a friend.

    Blue whales typically live 80 to 90 years in the wild, and she presumably died _50 years ago_ back when she had a calf. That calf is still alive and, by now, is fully matured-an adult, and well on their way to becoming an elder. But she still considers it to be _’her calf’_ regardless.

      I think he would still show compassion to them. He is not the judge. He is the guide that takes them to what is next. That simple act would drive the bad ones mad because they have no chance to change their fate by threatening Death.

    • @strawberry9031
      @strawberry9031 Год назад

      @@docgiggles130To be honest, i also think that this how would it go, for him the perception of things is so different, than for us, for a being like him who existed for eons, every human being would be like a lost child in the fog (evil often results from ignorance, spiritual blindness or it's just that someone is born evil in a sense - or at least has predispositions to be evil that are released by various circumstances, or are made like that by enviroment). In addition, evil for him does not have the same effect as on us - we condemn certain acts and people because we cannot fix them, but for a being who lives outside the fabric of reality and can manipulate it, these are trifles (they can be easily fixed, so to speak)
      I don't think in this universe hell exist, or at least its not permanent, it wouldn't be very logical, knowing the character of Death

      Depends fully of culture. Grimreaper in Finnish folklore is a woman who's job is to make sure that all souls step on underworld boat in peace, rather than in fear or unwillingness.
      Her methods can be questionable sometimes as she must resolve in very cunning lies even when it comes to the most stubborn souls.

As a person who's dealing with a lot of health concerns and has very bad health I pray that death so so much like it is in these strips. Because I know I'm going to need something like that when I pass away. I know it sounds crazy but as I'm told one can hope.

    I absolutely love the kind of media that portrays an avatar of death like this, a soft hearted and gentle kind of character who wishes to help guide souls to the afterlife, but still allows them the chance to be happy and finish whatever business ties them down, in this case a mother getting to see her young grow older and push through
    It’s happy and inspiring to me❤

    I love Loving Reaper so much 🥲 such a beautiful story, that he's not to be feared. It's our own Ego causing the fear of an end when he's merely a guide to the next step. The loss is still real, and it's heartbreaking when people give up the fight of Life... But he's a gentle repose, he can bring comfort and peace as much as anything else.
    And these comics show that, show that gentleness people forget. Man I love these comics 😭🥲❤️

    We’ve all seen death as a ruthless entity of separation and sorrow, for many, including myself, wouldn’t wish to be taken away from my family, but, what truly does it for me, is not knowing what’s truly on the other side, nobody has come back from actual death to tell the tale, leaving that final curtain very ambiguous.will there be paradise? Will there be anything? Time may tell once it happens.

    As someone who has been suicidal for over half my life, this is how I've come to imagine and anthropomorphize Death.
    Death is peaceful, kind, and welcoming. Death is understanding and patient.
    Death has been my friend for over a decade: it has been patiently waiting with open arms for whenever I'm ready to leave. And the fact that it's been there for me, promising peace and quiet if I truly needed it... That fact has gotten me through some really dark times. If I'm perfectly honest, the support and comfort of Death was more helpful than the emotional support my parents offered. Death has been a more caring and compassionate mother to me than my spawn point.
    And like any good mother, Death is stepping back and giving me some space now that I don't need her support as much. She'll always be there for me. She'll probably wind up hurting me again- my loved ones will embrace her one day- but she'll always give me the option to make the hurt stop. Always. And I'm extremely grateful that she has the power to make the hurting stop.
