- I post regular updates to my Facebook Page (Derek Cullen Outdoors) as it’s really quick and easy while I’m out here walking. Please follow me over there if you wish to stay update. I will update this RUclips series before the end of the month and resume posting regular updates on here after the trip. Thanks for watching 💚

Ps. I’m doing amazing now and over the setback which happened quite a while ago - check my Facebook page for real-time updates. I know not everyone uses fb but I’ll be back on RUclips really soon. Making fully-edited videos is a huge task (even off the trail) so I will be posting more diary-format videos on RUclips after the trail when I will have a lot more time available 🍀

Hello Derek. Thanks for the honesty. Like others, I am not on FB so will only see you when you post on YT. And I think you have it right. When you are going through difficult times, keep going. The keyword there being "through", as going through something implies you have the frame of mind that you know it is not permanent. Blessings.

good God.. you sound just like me... I have a good 20 years on you.. I fought the fight.. until finally I got some drug help and it DID help... immensely. I was GAD 24 hours a day.... just want you to know, i went thru 3 different drugs and while on them the worse times.. but with the one I'm on... good head, good body, good mind and good soul... I fought the fight on my own and truly understand what your saying about going into the darkest place to crawl out.. for 12 years.. then tried something new... good luck

DC. You know that the Camino people you meet along the way keep spirits up. The native Irish are wonderful people so ask one or two to do 100yds with you whilst recording. Will be therapeutic for us ALL.

It's fantastic that you are able to recognise those difficult moments and meet them head on and take the time to deal with them. You're videos have inspired the fuck out of me lately in more ways than one. Initially it got me out doing more of the adventurous stuff I love. And now they inspire me to accept some of the bad feelings and just be ok with them. I've even given myself permission to have a good rest of my day on a few occasions! Thanks for all of it man. And thanks for the countless videos. Don't be stressing yourself about the content for now, you've made plenty for us to enjoy 👍 I hope you find the answers you're looking for out there, keep the head up. We'll see you when you're ready :)

Some sections of the Ireland way are quite poor. Excessive styles, poorly maintained off road, lots of livestock, flooding, and long uninspiring road sections. It'll get better, but it's tough now even for people unaffected by anxiety or depression. You're doing great

Keep going forward Man , let me give you a little tip ,for the mind , Remember this ,you own your mind ,your mind does not own you, and i think everyone should know this , when your mind is full of chatter, take these simple steps to stop your thoughts and empty your mind, 1 close your eyes ,2 watch your thoughts in your mind,just watch them flow around for a bit, 3 then ask yourself this question, What will my next thought Be, and repeat the same question, until you notice ,you have no thoughts its just blank, and your mind is at peace , Best of luck Man , and keep er lit,
