I never saw such clean landings by anyone in DCS ... U deserve more ..keep bringing it on and you'll be famous in DCS family very soon. All d best and thanks for all the info!!
Absolutely, this is even highlighted in the German Air Force Mig29 manual. Approach within parameters, you'll have no trouble landing normally. Land like a cowboy, and your next callsign will be Flubber! 🤣
Smoothest landing in a game that I’ve ever seen well done, after this I feel like maybe Yuri the DCS maintenance man will not be mad at me anymore hopefully
When I went from the flanker to this I was like woah this is sensitive and I blew up on my first landing 😂 then I realised after that had a fiddle with the settings watched this video figured out trim is very important and thank you I can now land the mig 29 without popping a tyres
After watching these landings I realized my approaches are much steeper, which is probably why I am having so much trouble. I need to think less like a Cessna driver and more like a Jet driver. Thanks.
I know that you already have a few beautiful mirage landings on your channel, but I would love to see a bit more in-depth video on it. Great landing as always btw!
@@CommanderSteinsch The break, I always end up a bit too close or far away. It's certainly within manageable margins and I'm mostly able to compensate, it's not pretty or consistent is all. Landing the Mirage and Fishbed are some of my favorite DCS activities so I'm always aiming to be more consistent but I never seem to get a smooth break in the Mirage like in the Fishbed. I think it's the FBW that I haven't gotten used to yet as I have less than half the hours in it
Great vid thank you! Can you use the shader on the HUD next time so me can observe the numbers shown while you are flying into the sun's light , cannot see the symbology well ?
Thanks! Regarding the mike, good point. But... I'm not sure you'd want to be subjected to my non native accent for more than 5 min. 😁 More seriously, there is a lot of information to convey, and I now prefer to present and edit it with closed captions. Unless I make the videos longer, I've found that live talking and explaining results in more chances to make mistakes or share inaccurate information. Also it's easier and quicker for the audience to pause and read the captions they are interested in, instead of replaying an audio segment.
@@CommanderSteinsch I would recommend if using text, to show the text longer so the viewer doesn't have to pause as much to see what is said, what you are pointing at, and reference outside the cockpit as well. Just some friendly constructive criticism to help you out if possible. Thanks for the video it was overall very good. I will be watching more of them for sure.
Thank you for the feedback, it's very helpful. I try to display the text as long as possible, but very often various pieces of information must be displayed almost at the same time. Pausing breaks the flow of the demonstration ( I think it's important to show how it's done without interruption). So I leave it to the viewer to decide when to pause the video as they see fit. The alternative would be a tutorial in two parts. The live demo, and the actual "tutorial" part. Check my Su33 carrier landing tutorial and A10 overhead landing tutorial and let me know what you think.
this was the SMOOTHEST mig29 landing ive witnessed to date it doesnt help i use a KB and mouse lol its twitchy af at lower speeds (check my channel for the worst mig29 landing xD)
Thanks! I've checked your video. Your speed was correct, but you should have kept your nose high just before touchdown to avoid the hard landing. It will come with practice, and a precise joystick will help! ;)

Thanks a ton for the encouragement!
Nice! The Mig is very sensitive to high descent rates touchdowns, it will bounce all around.

As someone who always let's the mig-29 bounce around on landing, I've got to say: This was the smoothest thing I ever saw!

Very well done! Detailed Information, awesome demonstration - thanks!
Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!

You can do it! :)

Thank you! I'll put the Mirage landing on my to do list then!
At what stage do you experience the most difficulty during landing?

Dang! You make it look easy mate! Good one.
Nice video man I love the Mig 29
It's a beautiful machine, but tricky to fly right! :D
Yeah
Nice approachings.
Thanks!
Damn that was a really smooth landing
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! 😃
nice one sir! Subscribed, this is the one i m looking for.
Another excellent installment! Thanks!
Thanks again!
Welp.... I got it to stop bouncing. But, now i'm using up the entire runway. Bleeding the airspeed is tricky.
Esse sabe o que faz! incrível!
Thank you so much. Fly safe!
@@CommanderSteinsch 💪😊
Excellent!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
How do you do it so well? I just start bouncing and/or flip over
very smooth! thx
Glad you like it!
What is Your joystick settings ? Like deadzone or something and thank you for tutorial 👍
Deadzone 0, curves 15 on X And Y If I remember correctly
Cool
#crazyrussianpilot :-> Top Video !👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love you~
Yes, yes, I retrim the plane as I CFIT
Trim is life :)
Nice video ! Using a microphone would be a good improvement though;)
Thanks!

@@CommanderSteinsch Makes sense ! Do you fly mostly Redfor modules ?
No, I have a historical preference for blufor, but every now and then I go back to migs and sukhoi to enjoy something different.

Holy crap this is so frustrating....
Keep at it, it will click eventually.
