EPS block countdown function for EPS cutting line

  • Hello everyone, I'm Fiona. In this video, we explain the EPS block countdown function of the EPS cutting line.
    The down counter function is located in the horizontal-cutting station.
    First, in the automatic screen of the main PLC of the cutting line, there is an important input area in the lower left corner, which is the order quantity. This value represents the total number of blocks we currently need to cut. For example, if we enter 5, the system needs to process and cut 5 blocks.
    Once we set the order quantity and start the system, the block will move along the preset path. During the movement of the block, it will pass through the two photoelectric sensors I0.4 and I0.5 in turn. These two sensors can detect the position of the EPS block in real-time.
    When the EPS block is completely out of the I0.5 photoelectric sensor, the system will respond immediately, and the order quantity displayed on the touch screen will automatically decrease by one. This process will continue until the order quantity is reduced to 0.
    When the order quantity becomes 0, it means that all the blocks have passed the horizontal cutting station and the cutting process has been completed. At this time, for safety reasons, the system will automatically pause the horizontal-cutting operation and pop up a prompt screen on the touch screen to inform us that the current order has been completed.
    To continue processing the next order, we need to click the "OK" button on the touch screen to confirm that the current order has been completed. If we need to modify the order quantity, such as increasing or decreasing the number of blocks, we only need to re-enter the new value in the order quantity input area.
    In general, the countdown function of the horizontal-cutting station provides us with an intuitive and convenient way to manage and track the cutting progress of the blocks.
