In order to make profits from trading you need loads of experience and a well defined strategy, which most traders don't have. If you trade without the proper preparation, you're most likely to lose your money. Identify the buy/sell ratios and identify the market leaders and most importantly. Diversify! this will help you spread risk

Alot of the altcoins are not competing with bitcoin and they are not trying to be a form of money. They are companies and have a market with other networks and the market is like a stock market

3 Rules you must know to be an expert in this space:
1. Bitcoin and "Crypto" are two very different animals. Only newbs confuse the two.
2. "Proof of Stake" is the same centralized control system the central banksters use.
3. Not your keys, not your coins
Just commenting on your first point, but not to argue, Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency, which is why they correctly said in the beginning of the video, "Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies". So BTC and alts can fall under the same category. Just because you think it's more special than alts doesn't mean they aren't all using cryptographic blockchain technology. It's suggestive whether you lump them together or differentiate between them. They both imply different things but both can be true, and the examples for both are numerous.

Bitcoin is not a currency, since it is taxable when used, at least in the U.S. and any top G20 nation. A currency is not taxed when used, and is a stable economic unit of measure, the only 2 things Bitcoin does not do well.

Money = energy / work. Bitcoin is the storage of that work. Proof of stake is no different than fiat garbage and fractional reserve.
Bitcoin IS the monopoly.
Buy ETH then convert to AMS59K. When bull market comes convert to AMS59K. Sell half at $3 and keep the remainder on chain.
I get kind of tired of people repeating that energy use is what gives Bitcoin value. POW is not to give Bitcoin value. The reason for POW is spelled out in the white paper.
It is to:
* provide a distributed random timer (to randomize who gets to create a block)
* make it impossible to modify the chain data.
That is all. If they could have figured out a way to provide the above without the work, they probably would have.
Bitcoin does not get its value from the energy use. Bitcoin would work with free electricity. So much for energy gives it value.

Is'nt he making a confusion between miners and nodes ? The nodes are the "verifiers". The miners are a utility providing computing power.
