There's been hints for more LN content from the LN official twitter, which COULD be a DLC, since there was a DLC found in a datamine. It's likely if it is a DLC, Tarsier would have made it since DLCs usually are finished months before release, and the creators said "in the next few months." However, it can also be a scrapped DLC and just a new game port, who knows.
Imagine being stuck there, suffering for years and years, without any human contact, plagued with the memories of betrayal. And then the minute you are released, you see the you before the endless suffering, and the person who betrayed you. What would you do? Exactly. Try to save yourself and probably take revenge on the person who betrayed you.

Someone said that she dropped him because six finnaly saw mono's face so mono could've kept the bag on and he would've known here's why.. see mono goes around collecting shadow kids and the reason is because he knows what will happen to six when mono free's the thin man but mono isn't in control of his own mind shadow mono is yes there is a shadow mono and if so he would've known that "wait I need to keep on my bag" he knows there is no avoiding the loop and also whenever you beat the doctor and go to pale city and the house crumbles and you lose the flashlight mono and six looked at each other when mono saves her so if you were wearing a hat not covering your face she would've known and there is a jump after where you have to catch six's hand and it would kill you if you were dropped. (Tericho theory) Do you know why six drops mono? Well alright Six is a survivor without all of her other survivors this causes survivors guilt in very little nightmares you see five (raincoat girl) locks six out to die she manages to survive and tries to help five but she doesn't succeed.. if you were going through guilt of everybody you knew died but you survived how would you feel? That's correct.. sad and survivors guilt causes nausea discomfort and hunger problems and if you were in a state discomfort you wouldn't want your friend to break the only thing that makes you comfortable and that is why six has a disappointing look six has gone through alot more than other kids which is why whenever she is in monster form she looks old.. *and twisted* we see that she has been there for awhile while it only looks to us an hour she's *TWISTED* she is the only child that's suffering from hunger problems as no other kid's do this explains why she is twisted she is an adult the time in the signal tower is very broken six is an adult in her kid body she has a disappointing look because that was her final time that she will take it she finnaly realized that she doesn't need anyone to survive and she's broken from her prison of discomfort and comfort she doesn't know what to think before she didn't wanna lose friends knowing how much pain it would cause (survivors guilt) but now she doesn't care so she drops mono she doesn't care anymore about losing friends. There you go im writing this at 3 in the morning im so tired.
It means that mono is also the 1st Kid to appear no? And the fact that his name is because of his fear makes it sadder when he ends all alone like that in the Dark tower
I really hope that somehow we can still save Mono in the next games, I can't accept that. Mono is one of the characters that I love the most, he can't end like that. I'm sad because of the ending of this game. It feels like someone important to me died, I don't want that!
Noticeable that as Mono grows up, his face changes from an expression of sadness to an expression of hate. It's sad the end of Mono, I hope he can get out of this hell.
In some kinda of strange sense, the signal tower became mono’s only “friend”. Here he was abandon and betrayed by six, the tower had the chance to finish mono, but it didn’t, it just stares at him and offers him a set. As if it also feels the pain of being alone. The tower maybe the last of its kind. So the two may form a neutral friendship over loneliness.
This actually makes sense considering the other residents were made into mockerys of themselves while thin man was the least distorted in appearance in comparison to the other residents if the tower was just trying to use mono he could have just made him into a a horrible monster for its bidding which would be stronger but instead he made him sit in a chair hid his true form by appearing like a room and made him grow up naturally I think if the tower had a order of making everything into monsters that it couldn't disobey then doing the least harm to the people who it cares about would be its priority and going by logic a adult mind is better for tasks such as revenge then a child's mind which would break down after one or two attempts in failure
I think I get what ur story is here: so as we know Mono is trapped with the Signal Tower, then the tower reveals Mono that he IS the Thin Man by giving him the Thin Mans POV thus revealing him why six betrayed him. The Signal Tower then tries get close to Mono but Mono then teleported into another area of the signal tower to which he just sits down and cries. As time is passing by he grew old and parts of the signal tower have found him at this point and was forced to do its bidding like capturing children and leaving their glitchy remain, taking the viewers bodies to the signal tower and helping to maintain the Tower itself. Eventually Monos skin loss colour and turned grey also changing his outfit just to fit his 'role' by the signal tower. At this point the signal tower keeps Mono under control but Mono decided to save whats left of his child self and sending him off into the TV. By the time he saved his good side he has already become Thin Man and the good side of Mono had no memory of what happened thus repeating the cycle. Oh by spliting his child self he also lost a portion of his power and that makes him 'weaker'.

unfortunately, little nightmares 2 seems to be a prequel to little nightmares 1, so by the time the story of little nightmare plays out. Mono has already become a thin man.
I feel like six let go of mono because she saw his face for the first time and since she was taken by the thin man, she knew it was him. She tried to stop the cycle not knowing that she’s the one that starts it by “betraying” mono. Idk just a theory.

This was lovely, but it was also so sad at the same time. By the way, loved how you were able to show how Mono grew older and older over time, but also keep it the same. If only the cycle could be broken, then maybe Mono would have his happy ending 😔

My theory is that Six dropped him because she recognized him as the Thin Man when she looked into his face for the first time after facing the Thin Man. Of course, her actions inadvertently caused him to become the very thing she feared.
Also once six got captured (since mono got turned into the thin man over time) we can infer that six slowly turned into monster six. Six feels abandoned after awhile once mono walks into the room six feels like they got saved but once mono hits the music box six thinks that mono really did betray them and so once six gets “saved” they feel like mono took the only thing they had left the music box if six did realize that mono was the thin man no wonder they dropped them at first six thinks about it almost about to pull mono back mono looks at six they see the face and within a instant drop them.

All to show the symbolism of how this affects us daily. The eyes represent everyone’s expectations, they’re watching you your whole life expecting you to do your best all the time. The T.V represents how easily your life is showed to so many people, they watch you all day and you just sit there, living day to day craving your childhood and what you believe was a better time. It might not have been perfect but at least then you could live in a world of fantasy. You had hope, hope that when you got older it would get better but now you’re older and it never did. You’re older now and you have to face reality and reality isn’t a fantasy. So you crave your childhood again and again. A time when you weren’t a robot working without any reason. You want more, you wish you could turn back time, tell your younger self to run and do what you want and ignore everyone’s eyes, their stares and their points. To do something that makes you happy because you’re not even you anymore. You’ve turned into what you feared. You’re your nightmare

I like to imagine that Six lost her memory when Mono got the last hit, When Six saw the music box broken and her on the ground in a unfamiliar place, She thought that Mono brought her here, broke her music box on purpose and tried to hurt her.

Edit: I also think six has scopophobia (fear of being with people or being stared at) think about it why is she the one always boosting mono why is she never caring about being alone its also the oppsite of mono and she doesn't care and runs from mono at the beginning why would she do that? For anyone who was wondering there are two reasons why she dropped him
Reason 1. Six has scopophobia
Reason 2. Someone said that she dropped him because six finnaly saw mono's face so mono could've kept the bag on and he would've known here's why.. see mono goes around collecting shadow kids and the reason is because he knows what will happen to six when mono free's the thin man but mono isn't in control of his own mind shadow mono is yes there is a shadow mono and if so he would've known that "wait I need to keep on my bag" he knows there is no avoiding the loop and also whenever you beat the doctor and go to pale city and the house crumbles and you lose the flashlight mono and six looked at each other when mono saves her so if you were wearing a hat not covering your face she would've known and there is a jump after where you have to catch six's hand and it would kill you if you were dropped.

Six is a survivor without all of her other survivors this causes survivors guilt in very little nightmares you see five (raincoat girl) locks six out to die she manages to survive and tries to help five but she doesn't succeed.. if you were going through guilt of everybody you knew died but you survived how would you feel? That's correct.. sad and survivors guilt causes nausea discomfort and hunger problems and if you were in a state discomfort you wouldn't want your friend to break the only thing that makes you comfortable and that is why six has a disappointing look six has gone through alot more than other kids which is why whenever she is in monster form she looks old..
*and twisted* we see that she has been there for awhile while it only looks to us an hour she's *TWISTED* she is the only child that's suffering from hunger problems as no other kid's do this explains why she is twisted she is an adult the time in the signal tower is very broken six is an adult in her kid body she has a disappointing look because that was her final time that she will take it she finnaly realized that she doesn't need anyone to survive and she's broken from her prison of discomfort and comfort she doesn't know what to think before she didn't wanna lose friends knowing how much pain it would cause (survivors guilt) but now she doesn't care so she drops mono she doesn't care anymore about losing friends. There you go im writing this at 3 in the morning im so tired.

In some kinda of strange sense, the signal tower became mono’s only “friend”. Here he was abandon and betrayed by six, the tower had the chance to finish mono, but it didn’t, it just stares at him and offers him a set. As if it also feels the pain of being alone. The tower maybe the last of its kind. So the two may form a neutral friendship over loneliness.

This actually makes sense considering the other residents were made into mockerys of themselves while thin man was the least distorted in appearance in comparison to the other residents if the tower was just trying to use mono he could have just made him into a a horrible monster for its bidding which would be stronger but instead he made him sit in a chair hid his true form by appearing like a room and made him grow up naturally I think if the tower had a order of making everything into monsters that it couldn't disobey then doing the least harm to the people who it cares about would be its priority and going by logic a adult mind is better for tasks such as revenge then a child's mind which would break down after one or two attempts in failure

I think I get what ur story is here: so as we know Mono is trapped with the Signal Tower, then the tower reveals Mono that he IS the Thin Man by giving him the Thin Mans POV thus revealing him why six betrayed him. The Signal Tower then tries get close to Mono but Mono then teleported into another area of the signal tower to which he just sits down and cries. As time is passing by he grew old and parts of the signal tower have found him at this point and was forced to do its bidding like capturing children and leaving their glitchy remain, taking the viewers bodies to the signal tower and helping to maintain the Tower itself. Eventually Monos skin loss colour and turned grey also changing his outfit just to fit his 'role' by the signal tower. At this point the signal tower keeps Mono under control but Mono decided to save whats left of his child self and sending him off into the TV. By the time he saved his good side he has already become Thin Man and the good side of Mono had no memory of what happened thus repeating the cycle. Oh by spliting his child self he also lost a portion of his power and that makes him 'weaker'.

My theory is that Six dropped him because she recognized him as the Thin Man when she looked into his face for the first time after facing the Thin Man. Of course, her actions inadvertently caused him to become the very thing she feared.
Also once six got captured (since mono got turned into the thin man over time) we can infer that six slowly turned into monster six. Six feels abandoned after awhile once mono walks into the room six feels like they got saved but once mono hits the music box six thinks that mono really did betray them and so once six gets “saved” they feel like mono took the only thing they had left the music box if six did realize that mono was the thin man no wonder they dropped them at first six thinks about it almost about to pull mono back mono looks at six they see the face and within a instant drop them.
She should have realized though betraying him she created thin man it’s quite easy to see how a villain is made if they are friends
