    How long of paracord do you need for the length that you want to cover? Maybe 2 or 3x the length that you want to cover?

    Hello, What are the sizes of the rope used? Is the braid across the nose band smaller?

      hi kristen, i used 6mm halter rope for my halter. for the braid, this is 550 paracord. there are some links underneath the video if you click 'show more' underneath the video that shows you the type of rope and cord. all the best.

      hi taylah, no. the black is 1/4 inch halter rope, and the noseband is paracord (550). If you click "SHOW MORE" underneath the video, you will see the links to the type of materials used. all the best.

    what type of rope do you use for your rope halters?

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  7 лет назад +1

      Hi there, i use halter rope, sometimes called equestrian or yachting rope, or double braided rope. About 1/4 inch, or 6-8mm are all good sizes. There are some links to places you can buy it on my website. www.peacedonkeys.com/product-links-rope/ I also have a video on how to make a rope halter on youtube here: ruclips.net/video/ByfPhYO8u5M/видео.html. hope that helps.

    For the nosebands can you use 2mm paracord?

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  7 лет назад +1

      hi McKenna, i guess you could, it would take a lot longer to cover the noseband, and probably use a lot more cord. give it a try and see how they look.

      Do you think it would be okay to make a rear cinch out of paracord? Just make the braiding a little thicker.

      i'm not sure if it might be a bit abrasive? most girths are made with smooth leather or soft cotton?

    Can you use hot glue instead of a lighter?

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  6 лет назад

      Hey I’ve never tried but as long as it stops the paracord from fraying it might be ok
