      Jazz isn't restricted to sheets like classical music. It's more on improvisation. Some jazz musicians have a chord progression to play with, but everything above that is played on the spot

    • @totophi
      @totophi 4 года назад +17

      To Timmothy and Brent: it’s not lost on the majority of classically trained pianists that “true” jazz piano music is done by ear and improvised on the fly. However, it is no crime at all for them to want play music written *in the style of jazz*, nor for people like the Mad Arranger to develop and release scores in this manner. So if you’re trying to troll, give it up.

Love it! It's going to be in my head all night. I'm hearing a bit of Billy Cobham/Steve Gadd with hint of Roy Haynes (and every other drummer I love) ... Lots of things to try out on this as a drummer. Man all those years practicing was so worth it. Being able to communicate and improvise through music is a beautiful thing.

Is "Here comes a thought" from the cartoon Steven Universe. It has a very wide and loyal fandom, and that particular song is a favorite for many people. If you could get the chance to see its music video, you would find it really beautiful as many of SU fans do. Let the song speak for itself, it is truly a wonderful, lovely and beautiful theme on love, understanding and relationships.

    Seriously, this is one of the reasons the internet was invented. So that we could sit here and partake in all this awesomeness!
    I have now put quite a few of your videos in my "watch later" folder, and they will accompany me on my morning walk tomorrow.
    Thank you, you unbelievably talanted human being!
    PS. I listened to this early this morning, and for hours on end at work I kept humming that funky base loop, real quiet, pretty much just as I was breathing in and out. I just kept doing it over and over and over, until I didn't even know I was doing it...and it probably sounded like I was having some sort of asthmatic seizure or something. :-D

      That's funny. It's a hard bass line to hum because it uses such a wide range. Yeah people think I'm weird when I try humming some of my arrangements.

      @@MagnusMoerkoereJohannesen LOL ok. I thought you were a musician. If I knew I wouldn't confuse you with technical terms😁😁 I'll try to explain them briefly.
      Time signature basically determines how you count the notes and how many notes are in each bar (bar is the smallest section of a song) , if you pay a little attention you'll notice that the song suddenly completely changed its rhythm after almost two minutes. That's a time signature change.
