Love your tutorials. Do you have tutorial on how to set the dye after painting? So it can be washed out not to run if it gets wet? Have you tried alcohol ink? Or do you prefer watercolor?
Thank you very much! No video yet on how to set the dye, but I'll do it. Never tried alcohol ink. For painting silk I use dyes mostly and sometimes acrylic paints
Hello! You know I've been asked about online courses, but I'm in the process of thinking it over. I mean would it be my design and students would take step by step replicating it... or I give the task and students create their own designs following my tasks. Which way would you prefer most?
@@issilkpainting i think you should teach steps by steps of the silk painting process from basic stratch to master professional level. If students want to make their own design it is up to them. Your task is to teach them all the techniques, materials, fabric knowledge, colours Theory, pre and after care instructions etc. if they have any questions or queries they can ask you. Or you make a group where all students will be theirs and try to help each other if you are not available in the group. It will be easy for you so that you don't have to take a burden.
