Next week I'll be doing a LIVE duo with guitar master Romero Lubambo. For future Friday's, what (and from where) would you like to hear? Comment below!
I was applauding! What a trio! I have been a Montez fan since I saw him at the Detroit Jazz Fest with Roy Hargrove. I can't remember enjoying listening to a set more than that one. I listened to everyone and watched Montez. He brings a lot of joy to his music...as do Peter and Bob. Wonderful.
I’ve loved watching Peter play solo during the past year, but it’s such a treat to hear the trio. Feels like the music scene is starting to return to normal. Thank you!
Just listened to All Blues... one of the best versions I ever heard!... Particularly enjoyed hearing your amazing comping on the bass and drum solos...Great to hear three terrific musicians interacting...👏
Nice to see Jazz groups are starting to come back to live playing, that is a big part of what real Jazz about. Jazz is performance art it all about the interactions of the members of the band. Peter and his trio tonight was great to hear and glad live Jazz is returning to our ears.
This just popped up in my suggested videos. I saw it live at the time and it was great then. Now, it's also a reminder of what a huge loss about Montez. He was great.
Just heard Swinging at the Haven and it sounded so familiar... it took a while but it's real close to a track by Charles Kynard an organist in the early 70s called "Winters Child"... I'm wondering what came first?
@@karbay73 - I thoroughly enjoyed the gifts of these great world - class musicians. They are also truly great people, so I was certainly not looking for anything about which to argue, or to criticize. That being said, one beauty of Americanism is the right to have differing opinions and to express them. Frankly, the only message I received was “KEEP PRACTICING, Maybe one day Peter and the guys will call on me to be the trumpet player on the date.😃”
@@karbay73 I disagree, and It's actually mandatory in St. Louis city for this type event. In any case, thanks for watching, and I hope it didn't detract from your enjoyment of the concert..
Hi Peter, what's the jazz scene like in Saint Louis? Are there a lot of places to play and plenty of good player? I am a guitar player and looking to move. I am into Bebop and more modern stuff too. Do you think I should fly out there and check it out?
Camera work. Faces and feet and heads of hair? Come on, stay on the hands of the musicians. That's what I tune in for. I don't want to see the grimaces etc.. Maybe other viewers do? or is this just a cinematic artistic thing?
Dude you gotta just appreciate the artistry. Unless you’re planning on transcribing the whole concert, needing to see hands is just unnecessary. And if you are transcribing it, lmk id love to see the keyboard solos.

This was an amazing concert. All of you were on top of your game. Thank you.
Using mask in a concert is wrong and gives a bad message.
