I start making my Christmas cards in June. I make 200 for the VA Hospital in Memphis. I also make some for a local nursing home. I have 2 nieces and a nephew that I make 24 cards each so that they each have a card a day the month of December thru Christmas Eve. Then I start on personal and family cards. I’m 74 and have done this for several years. Love your channel! Thank you for all your work and style!
Love this cards and paper pads. I do try to change every year and try to do my cards at least one month before. This year I started in July but got very sick that had to stop as I end up in the hospital several times. But now I’m feeling better and started to do more cards. But this year I feel like just making them white and black, I do more die cuts than stamping as I not very good stamping, but I’m learning. Thank you for the inspiration
Its m’y first year making cards, so I went ahead and embossed a whole bunch of Christmas themed greetings, and used different colours. Then I cut out lots of stars, Christmas trees and presents. Then I assemble the parts on different colour and sized card stock…it’s fun, I don’t have any the same…lots of different embellishments and ribbons…
It's October 22nd and I have all my cards done and envelopes addressed. I am working on the Christmas cards for four nursing homes and have completed the largest one and am working on the other three now. I'm trying to be on time.
Thanks for the water tip, I often try this too but I end up in the bathroom every half hour so then if it need to go out, which is always 😂 I end up stopping the water intake. It really did help when I was trying to loose weight
Awesome ideas, great cards. I love what you talked about needing more water, I have been drinking more water and feel thirsty all the time but wasn’t before drinking a lot. Thanks Ana
Great cards. I would not have thought about doing them in black and white. But I do like blue and white/silver. I typically start on Christmas cards in October with the goal of having them mailed out December 1. Thank you for sharing these ideas. Also, thank you for sharing about drinking water. I don't get thirsty either. I am encouraged to drink more water and see how I feel better. That sounds like an interesting book.
I’ve made 200+ so far. I give those to nursing home my MIL is in. Then I make cards for my widowed Dad to send to his friends. Make the ones I send and then try to make some for organizations that need cards all year long.
I start making my Christmas cards in October. Watching you, though I am ready to start. Thank you for inspiring me because I needed it. Thank you so much.🤗
I send and hand out about 40. I always end up with more when on a roll. I often buy one new sentiment stamp set or reuse a really old one and start there by embossing. Then card bases, die cutting a focal point, colouring etc. then lastly the fun part assembling. No two are ever the same, colours are usually according to the recipients likes ( I think ) . I start in June. But I always log colours, sentiments or unique in a journal incase I roll over a few to the next year. Lovely cards.
Another great video, Anna! And yes, water is so important. Our cells are made up of water that they replenish by the water we drink and the nutrient dense water found in fruits and vegetables. The number one function for our cells is to support our organs. When our cells aren't getting the hydration and nutrients that they need, it affects our entire body system and over time can result in many illnesses/conditions. Water in the form of drinking and in the form of fruits and vegetables is so crucial to our health! Thank you for bringing up this important topic. There's a lot of advertising around medications, but hardly any public service education on the importance of a healthy diet and hydration. Our cells depend on it!
ive recently found you yt channel and wow! your an inspiration stamping wise and for your tibits on life. i am too a demo. thank you anna. vicky westra
Hello Anna, I normally get my Christmas cards done in November but now I’ve been ill here and then last year I couldn’t make any so I choose to do an assembly line in Christmas in July . They are all cut out and prepped ready to assemble and color . Trying to get back to how I was very organized . Almost there
NICE cards! Can you please share what looks like framed magnetic sheets you’ve hung in your studio…how you made them, size, where you got magnetic sheets & frames? I have tons of dies & think your system would be a great way for me to quickly put my hands on my favorite, most-used dies! Thanks! Also, not everyone can drink lots of water. People whose blood shows low sodium & low chloride (nothing to do with how much or little salt is consumed), have to limit water intake.
Oh water is so important, did the same thing as you and oh wow and I had headaches , I was so bad at drinking water that I’d cramp up ( magnesium helped) but when I started drinking more water no more cramping no more headaches and yep just like you I was thirsty. Another sign you are dehydrated is your pee , it should be clear if it’s yellow that’s bad if it’s dark very bad and if it is dark and cloudy and bad Oder you have an infection . Plus you can mess up your kidneys . I’m sure the liver too but I’m sure with many other organs as well . Water is so important. Thanks for bringing awareness . We all need reminders and yes going natural. Is always the best so many medications seem to cause a new problem . I was so bad with cramping I’d take IV powder in my water to hydrate myself faster.
I typically wait til the last minute, and then most people get boxed cards with only a few getting handmade creations. I'm hoping to change that this year. I'm hoping to get them made AND addressed by 12/01 as only A-J got cards last year and K-Z got nothing.😮
I send out about 60+ to friends and family every year. I am a scrapbooker and don't like to spend a lot of my time making cards so I usually make them in batches of 12. Five sessions & I'm done. I don't make basic cards though. If they're not special I don't see the point in spending all that time making them.
I have my Christmas cards done except for signing them and addressing the decorated envelopes. I drink a lot of water everyday. I love water, I know not all people do.
I don’t understand why people want to make multiples. It’s like assembly line. If the receivers are friends or family, won’t they notice that they have gotten nearly identical cards? Doesn’t that decrease the significance of them being homemade?
I've never found this to be the case. The people who receive my cards are always delighted to get them and appreciate the hard work, effort and joy that has gone into making them. Besides the volume of cards that go out of my house necessitates this.

Great cards. Thanks for your tips.
Water is very important. Staying hydrated is very important. Pop is dehydrating.

Nice cards. I start in July making cards. Just keep getting different ideas. Yes, i drink lots of water because i am trying not to get UTIs.
I have heard of this doctor too!

the sled looks like a gate
I have My Christmas cards finished. I mail around 100 and hand out another 100
I send out about 60+ to friends and family every year. I am a scrapbooker and don't like to spend a lot of my time making cards so I usually make them in batches of 12. Five sessions & I'm done. I send out about 50 cards
I have my Christmas cards done except for signing them and addressing the decorated envelopes. I drink a lot of water everyday. I love water, I know not all people do.
Good for you both with the cards and water!
I purchase my Christmas cards because they have to have the nativity scenes. Not many stamp sets that tell the true reason for the season.
I don’t understand why people want to make multiples. It’s like assembly line. If the receivers are friends or family, won’t they notice that they have gotten nearly identical cards? Doesn’t that decrease the significance of them being homemade?

I feel like a weirdo but I actually don't like doing Christmas cards.
