Since it’s not mentioned in any of their videos, if anyone’s curious about the fertilizers… the yellow balls are Osmocote or Osmocote Plus, an all-purpose and timed-release fertilizer. The blue beads are just standard, granular NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium). It’s an alternative in case you don’t want the extra nutrients found in all-purpose fertilizers (like Osmocote, Miracle Grow or any number of brands). Succulents, for example, don’t really need too much nutrition, and the soil is often MORE than enough… so if you’re thinking of adding anything, some people like to keep it simple. N-P-K are like, the “top three” most important nutrients for plants, just in general. All-purpose fertilizers also contain stuff like iron, manganese, magnesium, zinc, etc. just depending on the brand. NPK keeps it easy.
The pink is likely Starkle-G, a brand name of Dinotefuran insecticide, which can be very beneficial for preventing bugs… just don’t put it on edible plants! I personally like to use the brand Bonide, their Systemic Houseplant Insect Control powder. Sprinkle it on and it lasts several months, unless you water super heavily & flush it out. 😆
