ah i see where you went wrong...that "ultra sonic detector" is actually a ghost hunting tool. good news and bad news. the good news is the truck is fine! bad news the truck has a ghost! feel free to follow me for more automotive advice!! 😁😁
I have reprogrammed before my 2010 TCM module via the online SPS programming TIS2web with the paid service using my VCXnano from Vxdiag. I have 2 work vans 2010 Chevy Express 4.8L and 2016 Chevy Express 4.8L. These vans if I recall correctly having the same engine, transmission, and everything. My main question is, would it be okay to look at DTCs and reset or relearn via the GDS2 application for a 2010? Supposedly, any vehicle before 2013 you need to use Tech2Win, but I selected 2014-2016 years on my GDS2 for my 2010 vehicle and all the modules populated along with DTCs and options to test the components. So basically, is it okay to use a gds2 2014+ vehicle type on a 2010 Chevrolet Express van?
i am so confused i am 67 years old never had backup camera, lane assist, automatic temp control for ac and heat, i drive a 1994 ram 2500 i can take the radio in and out of my truck and don't have to program anything, i can swap computers from any v-8 from 1992 thru 1995 no programming , have a throttle cable, how in the world have i only had 2 wrecks in my life how can i even drive my vehicle. things don't have to be like they are. a new ram 2500 4wd gets almost the same fuel mileage as mine amazing
Can you please link or guide me in the right direction to buy a high frequency ultrasonic pick up for my scope please. I cant find one. I like the one youe used in the video. I think you said it was from pico.
Initially this vehicle was pre-scanned with a Snapon scantool and no TSBs were listed through prodemand either. I did not check for freeze frame data. When I saw the limited data pids I figured freeze frame would also be useless. I guess I should get used to always checking it since many new vehicle have more data in freeze frame than they do in data pid list. Toyota ROB data is this way.
Can we just buy the j box separately? I have 3 other topdon and launch scanners do t want another one. But the cardaq 3 has been so good to me never let me down
I've never seen a chevy go into limp mode for a parking aid issue other then the module going bad and taking down the network. When that happened the truck wouldn't start. Of do I get that ultra sonic pick up tool?
The way you explain your thought process (and diagnostic methods) is second to none, Chad. 👍🏼

I’m the same way. My newest vehicle is a 2007 Toyota highlander but it doss we not have any of these add one either.

Identifix doesn't always have current or up-to-date TSBs listed.
Is there any Freeze Frame data for the Parking Aid system?

The cardaq is all you need. Being able to use the smartlink interface as a jbox is just an extra benefit of buying the launch torque link.
Thanks for sharing! Great diagnosis. Did that sensor code ever force the truck into reduced power mode also?
Not that I am aware of. The customer said a message would pop up sometime saying park assist disabled.
