...beautiful, brings good memories of my younger years as church choir member, this is one of our favorite piece... am now in flashback mode... to sing praises to our loving awesome God is just beyond words...
Nathaniel Dett is my granny's cousin she is 98 she's been asking ppl who performe at the nursing home do they know listen to the lamb PRAISE GOD FOR YOU TUBE. I can play it for her
Omg 😲😲😲... I can't take it anymore... This choir sounds too good to be true. Literally everything was on point and those who know me personally, know that I'm the one to rip a choir apart. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This particular recording has the best alto section, therefore is the best recording I have found thus far. I still could use a little more alto because those harmonies are just so beautiful they make the song. I particularly love how the director takes note of what is instructed on the page and takes liberty when needed, and not just because. I particularly loved the basses and second tenors. Very strong lower section. They could have really given me more on the scale at the end. The soloist has a beautiful color to her voice, but the vibrato is almost a wobble at times, not too wide. Overall this version is well done. It is quite obvious the young people are well-rehearsed and are very talented. Beautiful job!
I was stopped in my track when I heard this song as it brought back happy memories of me singing the same song in a choir many years ago. My choir master, the late Kaestener Robertson passed away in 2018 and I can remember him conducting the song with such beautiful precision! I can still hear myself singing the song 'Listen to the Lambs' even after many years. A beautiful rendition from this choir. Thanks for sharing. 👏🏾
This is what real music is supposed to sound like, every pitch heard clearly. It sends chills down your back. Shame on us for forgetting true musicians like Nathaniel Dett and Moses Hogan and settling on consuming junk, brain dead music of rappers and scantily clad singers: electronic music, drum machines, computer sample music, that shallow, metallic sound that can't reach your soul.
Listening to this performance makes me nostalgic for the days I sang second soprano in the Elizabeth City State University Concert Choir. Excellent work!
I love this song but no one should be shamed for liking "music of rappers and scantily clad singers: electronic music, drum machines, computer sample music."' To each, his own.
Could you please tell me if " crying of the lambs " is mentioned in the Bible ? I appreciate it very much. You see I plan to adopt your song in my presentation . But i must have references from the Bible regarding this song . Thank you .

A very moving rendering of a song that blends African and "English' music
