For a long time now, if I were to actually learn Japanese I wanted it to be Osaka-ben, but now I kind of am interested in Tochigi-ben since it's not nearly as common (I'd imagine) and Laplus is one of my favorites in Hololive.
I really thought suisei was supposed to be some comet being lmao

I'll be honest, it would be nice if vtubers just dropped the whole "lore" thing where one's a demon lord from hell or from a star or mother of nature or whatever. Just talk freely without having to be mindful about dumb stuff like that.
Yeah. How dare these anime themed VTubers be a cute dog, duck tomboy, gaming maid, or a devil who's secretly an angel? They should strip away what makes them individually unique. It's not like that's an important part of why their fans like them so much anyway.
It's not as if their lore was stopping them from talking about real life stuff here, the conversation about Tochigi and Hiroshima happened anyway.
That would kinda be like going to the movies and being like...bro I wish Heath Ledger would just drop the whole crazy clown lore thing and just talk freely without being mindful about the dumb stuff.
I get what you're saying, but at that point they'd just be regular streamers. I think Hololive, Niji JP and VSPO have just the right amount of staying in character while still being about to "be themselves".
