The best way depends on your background. If you're a beginner in programming then this is probably good. If you did java before or C or web dev, that would change everything about the best way to learn cpp
I am a beginner and want to learn programming as when I was in my late 20s/early 30s I took a course at a community college here in Texas but unfortunately I made a bad decision & stop going due to my (hubby at time) & his insecurities 😒 But I would love to start learning programming and coding. Which area should I start at ? I think I was doing the C++ but can’t remember…so any help to get me headed in the right direction is greatly appreciated 🤠
@@charry5687sorry for the late response, well what I meant is that as you know more and more languages you get more and more used to various programming concepts, so if you take a beginner course you don't learn much from it as you already know 75% of what's being said, if you did only the basics of C then I don't think the overlap between the course and what you already know will be big, so normally anything will do, and apparently the course shown here is quite good, the only thing is that you'll skip the things you already know which should not be much, like loops and basics of functions... That's what I think at least
@@abiyah_1 I see, I wouldn't suggest C or C++, they could be quite complicated and hard to understand, some things are twisted to understand, but of course starting with them could work it's just that it would make learning relatively harder. A lot of universities start with python as its syntax is easy to grasp and at this stage you want to understand concepts of programming and don't want the language's syntax/features to get in the way, so if you wanna be sure and want to go with something tested and widely spread I would suggest python. But I think a language like Go could be more instructive as it also has a light syntax and it's more low level than python, so it helps you understand memory management and important concepts like that, think of it like a better C. Personally I would recommend Go more because it's more instructive IMO. Note that I'm not a senior dev or something 😅, I've been doing programming as a hobby for about 8 years now( I'm 21), so I think what I said is more or less correct.
