And later in the trailer he mentions how not being blessed by Grace leads to death. Would be a stretch I think, but I wonder if this guy has any power over Grace in Miquella's dream or wherever this takes place

What I assume is this is another champion of the erdtree but because we burned the tree it’s scared but still producing its golden light. We committed the worse sin in the erdtree religion in order to be Elden lord. This most have made the erdtree shun us once again for committing a cardinal sin. One who commits this sin could be Elden lord and time and time again throughout the play through they keep stating that a tarnished can not be Elden lord because we were forsakened by grace.
We killed the god of the erdtree and almost all of its followers in order to be the Elden lord as a result I believe the erdtree thought we would kill one or two omi demigod because you must kill ones who grace doesn’t approve of and based on the golden order the first two bosses had to go which is all you need to go to the capital to kill the omen king, you need need to kill the fire giant which is an enemy of the erdtree but only there to prevent people from gaining access to the erdtree. Once you kill the final enemy of the erdtree and burn it then the Throns or opened up. Then you must fight malikeith because of his sin of failing to protect the rune of death which crippled the forces of erdtree more dramatically than any other enemy they had and removed them from grave preventing them from ever being revived. So you punish him and get the final piece to put the Elden ring back together. Now Godfrey appears after you done what you needed to do for grace this is where you were supposed to be killed and Godfrey takes all your hard word and become Elden lord with it to truly restore the golden order but that doesn’t happen. Forcing the god of the erdtree to manifest to try to stop you from choosing the fate of the erdtrees’ power and influence. Thus you become Elden lord restoring the ring in the name of the golden order but because you are a tarnished you are incapable of being an acceptable choice for Elden lord in the eyes of the greater will. Which requires them to spawn more champions and maybe even another god which might be messmer which has to be stronger than marika… a lot stronger in order to challenge the unwanted tarnished Elden lord.
There's a fake "guiding grace" that shows up in red before the fire giants area where you fight a gargoyle. I think it's connected to that.

A Common theme with these DLC trailers for FromSoft is that the song in them is usually from a boss in the DLC. So we might hear this banger in the game.
They’ve also never once shown the final boss (except Gael for a literal second) so it’s not unlikely we get to see something even cooler than messmer.

Guys listen, the voice at the end that sais: "I will not be far behind, may we meet again", is Miquella. My evidence is that in a lore video of Vaatividya he said that Miquella has a voice actress that is credited in the game already, and that actress is the same as stone trader Chloanne from Dark souls 2. If you listen to her and this dialog in the trailer, it is the same voice. That plus the other clues mentioned by a lot of people of how we will follow Miquella's footsteps or whatever. I think is safe to assume that Miquella will either accompany us (kind of like Melina), or maybe we will encounter him through out the dlc. Maybe the new power up system that Miyazaki mentioned is provided to us by Miquella. Just thought it was worth pointing out since I haven't seen anyone mention it yet.
I was thinking the exact thing last year. I'm also scared for a team up boss fight against him and melina again as she truly never dies
From my understanding it's actually just gonna be the same level up system but with no cap. So the enemies there will always be about your level. Which is why they are saying don't go there with new game + as you will be fighting trash enemies stronger than any boss in the base game. That way you can't just over level and steamroll everything.
@@aaronpop0083this wouldn‘t make sense tho. it wouldn‘t matter whether you go there in ng+ or right in the beginning if the enemies were matched to your level. As far as we know we‘ll be getting something similar to sekiro‘s leveling system. that means we‘ll be able to collect something akin to the "remembrances" in sekiro from killing dlc bosses and using those we‘ll be able to upgrade our damage. there will probably be a similar item for health to collect. those serve as a natural roadblock as in you either play perfectly and skip bosses or you just get gud and kill all of the bosses in order to have an easier time in the dlc. at least that‘s my understanding of it

I wanted the wing aspect of the crucible more than almost anything in this DLC, but looking more carefully I can't help but notice that their character doesn't seem to be holding a talisman when they use that move. Either one of those weapons they're holding also functions as a catalyst for spells, or the wing attack will be an ash of war and possibly locked specifically do that weapon. :(

@@theobell2002I think they mean how a lot of game studios these days focus more on maximizing profit, even if it means the game won’t be as good. Ubisoft for example, the new AC games are basically reskins of the same game, year after year. Also the item shop and micro transactions packed in, so players will spend more. It’s quantity over quality.

The character design and world design on display gives me the chills. No developer can compete with From Software at the moment. Gameplay looks insane as well!
They are the only game developer that I trust completely to put out consumer friendly games that are 110% of what we want. Also, that I don't feel bad or think twice about buying their stuff on release because I know it's going to be good.
@Ghost_Rider1122 May I introduce you to Larian, another consumer friendly studio. Also a completely independent one, so there's even less chance of them screwing us over. Their work with BG3 has just been great and I would give them my money again in a heartbeat. Same goes for Elden Ring, it's rare that buying a game feels like a fair trade and worthy use of money these days.

me i just hoped miyazaki finally listened to that part of his community who asked him a way to play on coop without invasion by adding an item who allow that for those who want it (plus it would be a win win situation because People who like invaded or be invaded could keep it while those who just want to have fun on coop with friends could do it too) because much more People than you think thinks exactly that way and played from games by default (because it’s the only action rpg médiéval setting games with story, exploration and who allow you to coop) so if he continue to spit to the face of that part of his community by forcing them to be harassed by invaders everytime they want to have fun on coop, he would be surprised to see a good 70% of his player base leaving his games when another action rpg médiéval setting with coop and without invasion, or at least possible to opt off of it even on coop, will be released.

The theory that seems most valid, to me, is that he is probably an exiled empyrean, banished for whatever he did/does to have that bloodflame magic and the creepy red snake lol

Wait I just realized they added spell casting weapons and/or ash of war. Look at 2:38 he had no seal in hand but casted aspect of the crucible: wings. The other alternative is that its an ash of war, but the other knights cast this aspect, so I doubt its like Ordovis ash of war, also the weapon does not look like a crucible weapon, but instead has gold inlays that might represent the golden order. Well that's my guess at least, does anyone else have the same opinion.

Same here. No other game will ever compare, for so many reasons-and not just because of its insane quality. The long wait with sparse information; the leaks, that temporary beta, the plot reveals, all building up to a release delayed a whole month-they all fed into the most anticipated release I’ve ever seen, and somehow SURPASSED all expectation. 2500+ hours later, it still feels FRESH.

I switch weapon and spirit ash loadouts between every site of grace, and don't shy away from what other people would dismiss as useless in the meta.
