Ivy's Battle Against MS: Enter - Carnivore Diet

- In 2019, Ivy Wulf’s life changed drastically when she suddenly couldn’t walk, her hands stopped working, and her skin felt alternately on fire and ice-cold. After countless doctors failed to diagnose her, she paid for an MRI and discovered she had multiple sclerosis (MS). Despite trying various treatments, nothing helped until she started a carnivore diet on February 13, 2024, and documented her journey on RUclips. Her resilience and openness provide hope to others facing similar struggles.

I’m loving hearing stories like this. I was diagnosed with MS almost a year ago, and I started keto/carnivore a couple weeks ago. My inflammation and muscle pain is already immensely improved. I’m so excited and hopeful. ❤
@@natileelipe7675 try just eating sardines.
I had horrible arthritis and sardines are the only food that completely stopped the pain.
Pay attention to this advice: Get a lot of beef suet and start eating a half kilo per day with a good amount of salt and that is in addition to the beef meat. Raw beef fat is very healing. Look into iodine and selenium as well. The whole body relies on the saturated fat to build the insulation surrounding the nerves. When the body doesn't get the correct fat to repair and build the brain tissue it leads to MS. It takes time to repair even when giving the correct ingredients so be patient and as Ivy is relating about how quick you will suffer if you cheat, don't do it until you have reversed most of the symptoms.
All the best for you ❤

I'm in the US diagnosed MS 2022. 3 weeks in on carnivore. It has been the only thing to bring feeling back to my hands. I plan to continue.
OMG, your symptoms were exactly like mine after my first ms attack 3 weeks ago at 70 years old. I can’t believe how dismissive doctors are! The worst part is that my mental comprehension is so bad. I’m still able to work (just merchandising jewelry) but I had to take two weeks off to learn how drive and walk safely. It takes me forever to type a message bc I have to do so many corrections.l! I’m also a silversmith and I’m going to try working on a piece today. I e been eating keto but starting carnivore today. Thank you so much for sharing your story!

I went to the carnivore diet on Christmas Day of 2019. I only ate ribeye steaks and drank water. My blood pressure went from high to low in a matter of months. My arthritis went from very painful to 10% pain in 90 days.
But I am glad you have been watching Courtney Luna! Follow her advice on sardines.
Sardines are a huge improvement in my health, even though I had basically been doing a lion diet for years. Sardines are extremely filling. I eat the Season brand, they taste the most like tuna. Having and being diagnosed with MS is horribly depressing!

Ivy if you read this comment the sparkling water has many more minerals than the flat one, it's in a way a natural electrolyte supplement. My dad has severe leg and feet cramps and they go away if he only drinks sparkling water.
It might be why you're craving it.
@@JezaGaia that’s a very good point. Thank you for pointing it out
What brand is sparkling water?
@@thebriscoekid3214 I don't know I'm French we probably don't have the same brands ....
It's water with naturally occurring bubbles not added gaz to make it fizzy. it's the baking soda that is naturally int water that makes the bubbles and it's there because there are a lot of minerals in that water.
@JezaGaia raw Celtic salt has the most minerals and is less salty taste. I put it in my water to keep my bodies with more minerals. I crave it. I heard it has 3 kinds of magnesium in it, too - I put it on my tongue 1st thing in the morning, too. I buy it bulk from Anazon. It's in a blue bag.

Just FYI:
“The researchers cautiously projected that over 7.3 billion animals perish annually from crop harvesting in the U.S. alone, excluding insects”
Also monocrops deplete the soil nutrients. We used to rotate crops, giving some soil a break, fallow fields.
And how much die because of pesticides poisoning. Fishes, frogs, newts and lizards. And of course everything that feeds on them. Birds, foxys, raccoons. Everything goes out of balance because of it.

B12 and B9 but methylated. Changed my life after 23 years of issues and many doctors unable to assist. Figured out the very common MTHFR gene variants make a difference. Not because there is a flaw with humans but the cheap synthetic garbage vitamins being used to "fortify" and "enrich" "foods" arent methylated by many humans.
Also the gut is damaged by gluten which then causes malabsorption issues because the intrinsic factor is not able to break down the meat into B12. I think gluten is at the back of everything. We can't digest it.
BEEF
Very often starting with KETO is great way to go for many and then transition to more carnivore.. increasing the carnivore part more each weak.

Hi Ivy! You commented that ground beef appears to cause a histamine condition. What I've done is bought a whole animal at a time and had the butcher grind it when it is fresh. Most beef is aged (hung) for a minimum of 14 days, which causes an increase in histamine. If possible, see if you can buy the meat very, very soon after the animal is slaughtered. It may help.
I heard similar from Mikhaila Peterson and her Lion Diet. She cannot do aged meat.
Salmon is great in these cases too I think I remember seeing that
Great video i was diagnosed with ms in 2019 my left side went numd from toes all the way up except my arm..i also refused meds did keto first but then tried carnivore and back to keto/carnivore. ..but since March 2024 up til now Aug. 2024 straight Carnivore
Ivy, There's a book called Could It Be B12 (2nd Edition) - An Epidemic of Misdiagnoses and MS is one of the diagnoses that can be a b12 deficiency as opposed to MS.
Written by Sally M Pacholok, RN BSN & Jeffrey J. Stuart, DO -
There’s another book, Copper revolution which suggests copper deficiency for MS and a host of other issues . Carnivore diet addresses both these deficiencies
If you're gut is damaged by gluten it stop the intrinsic factor in the gut being able to release the B12. Fasting is a good way to heal the gut. I do dry fasting one day a week.

I have ms too and do not take an ms drug. They don't know what ms is or how it works. All the treatments are experimental chemotherapy and it is not known how or if they do anything to help us. The side effects can be devastating. Some do well on them. They need to work out what ms is before I will take these drugs. One neurologist told me they need us to take these drugs because it funds research!

This was great to watch as a new carnivore with similar issues. What was suggested for the low iron even though you eat a lot of red meat? Injections?
check your copper, specially if you eat organ meats like liver you might have too much copper and this lowers iron from what i understand.
Also do you have any symptoms like being very tired ? Do you have low hemoglobin ? because having low iron compared to the average person might not be an issue at all after all.
@@JezaGaia thankyou I’ll def look into that. The main symptoms are increasing fatigue, more sensitive to cold, low blood pressure but high heart rate and lots of hair fall. This has only come in the last month after 4 months carnivore but have had a lot of improvement in other symptoms.
@@vickyb6588 ok so yep hair loss cold and fatigue you're right you absolutely have an iron deficiency, I've been there.
For me it was at the very start of the diet but i was keto not carnivore so I restricted protein also I was fasting a lot and lost 15 kg (28/30 pounds) in a month.
But if you're not as crazy as I was you should definitively check for copper and your hemoglobin.
Lately I had a small anemia and it was because my uterus had a fibrome, benign and minuscule but it was badly situated and was bleeding a microscopic amount . I solved the issue by eating only red meat and eating more of it.
hope you solve your issue quickly :)

@@vickyb6588 yes the cooper thing I will also look into revived this too multiple times now. B12 should be over 400 and has also impact on iron Jen told me, and my gynecologist told me that it’s maybe because of the MS meds I took that this had an effect

Interesting that the constant raining happened in Austria. We had that here in the UK for the first six months of this year. It's all engineered of course.
Remember not to take B12 cyanocobalamine which is harmfull and contains cyanide as you can see on the name, but Chaffee probably told you that. Most cheap B12 is cyanocobalamine. You have to choose methylcobalamine.... also if it's an injection ❤

For your iron deficiency, try getting blood work for intrinsic factor antibodies. If there are antibodies attacking intrinsic factor you will not absorb B12.
One of the problems with sensitivity to meat could be what they are feeding the animals. I have reacted to some meat. I had a bad reaction to turkey. I reacted to a certain brand of ham and to corned beef, though I am able to cure and smoke my own meat (again, meat purchased at the supermarket). It's the same reaction I would have had if I had eaten wheat or soybeans.

I love meat, beef, lamb, pork, chicken, even kangaroo. Not so keen on seafood. I have to be in the mood, but salmon is ok. In fact, when I was a kid in Australia and my father cooked a roast dinner, say lamb, I used to wander around the house saying, 'meat... meat... meat, ' in my toddler voice until the lamb shank was cooked. My father would take it out of the pan and let me have it as a pre dinner snack. I believe in ethical animal husbandry, grass fed, field wandering (for grass eaters anyway) for human consumption.
Come to Texas we love our beef here!!?
I can't eat lactose as it triggers my type 1 and type 2 rosacea which is a skin infection. The last time I accidently ate lactose I developed a fever and skin infection that triggered an ms relapse, I lost movement on one side of my body. I refused the steroid treatment as it can wreak havoc on the body and cause long term damage such as necrosis of the hip. All that treatment does is speed up the healing that your body would have done by itself anyway. It cannot heal a relapse itself. If you haven't already found him I would strongly recommend finding everything you can written by Professor Gavin Giovannoni, Barts and The Royal London hospital. Also Dr Aaron Boster on youtube.
I didnt think I would like lamb. I add garlic powder and a little rosemary. It's my favorite now.

@@CCForche o I got one to it’s the best ❤️ one thing somebody pointed out is that we have to take the electrolytes then because tab water if we use it for the soda stream will not have enough minerals like bottle water you can buy. Just an advice I got resently ☀️
@@ivyWulfCarnivore I totally agree, but in the USA I want water without fluoride. Ido add electrolytes. I filter the water first then carbonate. The bottled version in USA has fluoridated water in it.This probably isn't true for you.
If you buy the European brands like San Pellegrino or Gerolsteiner they don't have fluoride added. Trader Joe's has them pretty cheap, if you have Trader Joe's where you live.
@@itzakpoelzig330 Yes but Gerolsteiner is naturally high in flouride, not exactly the same as the flouride added by municipalities, but a concern still.
Were you eating table salt or sea salt? I personally only eat celtic salt.
If someone is having "histamine intolerance"; they should switch from "aged" meats to fresh cuts or switch to low histamine types such as: goat, sheep, kangaroo, goat, sardines, Wild salmon, etc...
Things such as "cultured" or grass fed butter or goat milk/products can make a difference if you are looking to improve your K2 profiles (if you insist on dairy). Consider magnesium glycinate supplements as well.
It can be an "autoimmune" game changer. Look up the "Lion Diet" by Mikaela Peterson.
Be sure to get thorough blood works before considering any kind of supplements. And always have a conversation with your doctor of choice before considering changing your diet/supplement/lifestyle changes. But ALWAYS remember you are in complete control of what you put in your body. If you "ate your way to disease"; it should only be reasonable that you can eat your way healthy as well...
Better to start early than later right?
Fiji water is sourced from rainwater in a volcanic tropical island, probably why it's high in silicates. I don't think it's bad thing, but it's also more marketing than anything else.
If you spend time in Viti Levu, most of it is not the tropical paradise like the photos make it out to be 🌴
I'd rather drink the old school mineral waters that are from ancient sources and in glass bottles. You get distinct flavours and often better minerals mix (especially electrolytes).
But in practice, I only drink them when I am out, as they are too expensive to have daily
@@magnessskippton2509 o yes the expenses with the water and also with electrolytes in general is sad. It’s hard to get all the minerals sometimes
Fiji water also stays in plastic bottles in shops and warehouses all over the world sometimes for years untill someone buys it and ive seen some puffed up bottles. Im more scared of some exotic heat resistant volcanic fiji becteria that eats u up then about mineral content.
It could be a gene mutation that doesn't allow you to absorb the B12. Use a methylated vitamin which is the absorbable form of the B12
Be sure and get checked for Lyme Disease as MS is often misdiagnosed.
U need to check lyme disease and aajonus vonderplanitz on google.
Many people are excessively generous of spirit to establishment doctors. Most of them are terrible. Let's hope the newer generations of doctors push back a bit more against their treatment protocols which are mainly useless at best and highly inappropriate/dangerous at worst.
Maybe look into gut issues as gut issues are related to autoimmune conditions like MS. The fact that you don't absorb iron from your diet may be from a gut problem such as leaky gut etc.
