      I like a board the same hight as me always remember shape and volume are more important than length

    fun review! why do some shapers make the wing after the finbox vs before the fin box how does that effect the fin to wing interaction? is the behind the fin box cavitat less?

    • @REALWatersports
      @REALWatersports  5 лет назад

      It just depends on how the shaper wants the wing to interact with the fin. Most times they'll have the fin drive water to the wing which will add some bite. You'll sometimes see it the other way but that would more be seen in "classic" or "retro" designs.

    Would this go ok as a 6'6" for someone around 88kg and lower end of the intermediate scale?

    Is the quad finbox position suitable for an twin fin setup?

    • @REALWatersports
      @REALWatersports  5 лет назад

      We would steer you towards just riding it as a quad, but you definitely could, that just wouldn't be our first pick for setup. That's not to say a Twin+ trailer wouldn't give a fun, skatey & loose feeling on some days. Maybe just try it as a quad to get a standard for comparison and if you have a set of twins throw them in to see how it feels too, nothing wrong with some experimenting

      Cheers for the quick reply.. it's just that I would like to surf an high performance twin and I'm about to order an set of twinnies EN Futures twins... But perhaps will try it with an baby trail fin..

      @REALWatersports  5 лет назад

      @@stephenwouw8624 The EN Futures Twin is a large twin, that could work! It definitely will be fun and worth the shot, the Astro Pop is super fast which will be fun with the twin set up. Let us know how it goes!

    Hi Real... How does the Astropop compare with The Heckler Rusty?

    • @REALWatersports
      @REALWatersports  4 года назад

      The Heckler is pretty fun, the venturi bottom makes it fast. But the Astro Pop was ripping, so fast and a ton of pop. It also holds a lot of the volume under your chest so it paddles into waves well

    How does it compare to the Cali Twin?

    • @REALWatersports
      @REALWatersports  5 лет назад +2

      The Astro Pop is designed to give you some extra spark and easy paddle in weaker, slower waves, while still keeping a performance edge and super fun to ride in good surf. The Astro Pop can generate a ton of speed. The Cali Twin is fast too, but it is a little more of a skatey feel, though it still has some precision in tight spots.
