53 years old, surfer since 30 years, got the gost stock board in 6'4, perfect for hollow waves in Hossegor Seignosse France, or this year in Safi Morocco when it was on fire end of feb. As soon as it's overhead, I take it. I'm 82 kg. 6'1
The phantom is the best board I have ever had. Works well in 2-3 ft softer waves and even better in 5-7ft waves. I have yet to surf the ghost, but I’ll get my hands on one eventually 🤞🏼
I'm 105kg and recently got a 6'6 Ghost. It is a great option for a bigger guy. The best HPSB I've ridden. Just about to publish my own review. The Phontom XL also looks good. Will you guys be reviewing that? Trip, I would be interested to hear your take on it as a bigger surfer.
I ordered a Ghost while deployed. Came back and surfed it in 1-2, 2-3 south shore Hawaii. Felt sluggish. Taking it out in 3-4 California Beach breaks and I love it
i dont mean to be off topic but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Jett Gunnar thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
The ghost pro is amazing its perfect quiver board. I carry mostly only 2 boards on my trips one is a funboard for anything from 1-5 feet and my ghost pro can charge any break and size from 6-15 foot no problem.
Hi Trip, you make great videos, thanks! I’m looking for a Ghost as a semi step up for 1.5X to 2X overhead surf, which happens quite often here (North Shore). I don't surf Pipe or Sunset, but still some heavy and sometimes hollow spots. Which would give me more confidence/assistance with paddling over the ledge and down into the wave: A Ghost XL (wide and short), a Ghost (balanced), or a Ghost Pro (long and thin)? And if I chose the easiest wave catching route with one of those options, what would I be sacrificing? Thanks!
I got the ghost 6'1 Im 6ft tall 183lb its a sick board for the good days it just took me a few surfs to find out the right fins set up, as an average surfer the board felt stiff but once i found the good set up for me it went great I don't need big fins on it Also I got the Pyzel JJslab2 for shoulder to head high days and beach breaks, if the phantom is ghost family is the Slab similar to the Shadow? Great review
did he touch on the shadow? i watched it but wasn't sure if he was talking about the ghost again or the shadow at any point? shadow is the main board I've been looking at
It's really a more refined Ghost with less thickness and volume, like Jon said in the video it is for people who want that performance but the stock dims are still too thick. Definitely a very high-performance board, absolutely rips down at the point
I'm struggling to decide between the phantom and the shadow.. I'm upgrading from my gremlin 6"6 44LT and wanted to go down to a 6"2 around 35LT but it seems only the phantom offers such ratio... I'm afraid of going with the shadow 6"2 since it has 32LT volume.. this might be to light for my skill and weitgh (84kg).. at the same time If I get the shadow I might be able to progress enough to adapt to the board. Otherwise if i get the phantom I will want to upgrade the board again in an year from now .... anyone stuggling with the same? Any advice'?
@@joshuabailey8354 I ended up going with the CI OG Flyer 6"1 which has around 32LT. I've also consiered to get the Uber Driver .. I didn't get the Phantom since my first board was a Gremlin and wanted to check different brand designs
I have a ghost. Surfed 1-2 waves in south shore. Caught waves but didn't perform well. Moved to San Diego. Got a Phantom. Dont like the phantom. Ghost has been a go to in 2-3/3-4

Hha he wanted to get to the shadow and got cut off
He got a little bit excited. We reviewed the Shadow / Shadow 12 in a different video, check it out ruclips.net/video/u-Bppkvhp2s/видео.html
Love the Zeppelin symbols. Nice touch!

You definitely need a little swell to get the Ghost ripping how it is supposed to, glad you gave it another shot in some proper waves
Looking forward to hear about the shadow review, I’m more interested to that one 😅.

Awesome. Shadow review please!
We will be uploading the Shadow review as soon as possible!
How’s gremlin compare to the puddle jumper hp?

Shadow review will be uploaded soon, that board is sick!
Ghost Pro Looks like a Short Cut with a bigger price tag?

Yeah exactly the same situation going down from a 44L. Think I’m going to go for the phantom for now as it should hold up long into intermediate level

He was about to talk about the shadow 😅
Was the Gremlin in this review PU?
2021- we have the Mini ghost.

Why don't you like the Phantom?
Seems like he was going to pick up the astro pop and talk about it and then the video ended?
We did a separate Astro Pop and Shadow review, they will be uploaded as soon as possible!
