I was a gay for a years in the early 90s and I was clubbing it up the Old Compton Road and I was told that we all owe Michael Barrymore or Bazza a huge debt of gratitude for keeping the Conservatives in power as long as they were. Apparently Barrymore told John Major if he didn’t win and try harder and “Strike It Lucky” he’d reveal intense bumming sessions he’d had with Michaels Portillo & Hesseltine.
