What were the 3 holes made in the back of the box lid for?I got lost there and can’t see that any wire or anything was used so just wondering why the holes were made on the backside of the lid.

Oh the holes are for the dowels to stick on the cake for the lid support.

Just make it double the size of your cake, like for example: the length of your cake is 5×5x5 then make the board panel 10" high.
